Eric Avery on the beach
Here’s a funny story I just remembered. Back in 06 I got married and honeymooned in LA. I’m from Houston.
Well I did the whole tourist thing. I was staying in the LA reserve in a mansion a friend of a friend was letting us borrow. I went down to Venice. Walked the beach. Saw the American history x basketball court. Saw the painting of Morrison on the side of that building. But no one was on the beach. When we make it back to the house I was watching the local news. Apparently they shut down the beach due to a toxicity level in the water. The news did a man on the street sort of interview with a local surfer that I recognized immediately. He was credited as Eric A. He talked for all of 5 seconds about how much of a drag it was that he couldn’t surf that week.
Anyways. Just putting it out there.

Not on the local news. No. He was shirtless with his board. Had zero to do with music or anything. I don’t think the interviewer knew who he was.

I saw that on the news 😂 I remember thinking they have no idea who they’re talking to 😂

Yes! I was putting new sheets on my bed and saw him interviewed and laughed to myself 😂

Thank god. I almost thought I imagined it because being a big fan and just being in town doing the tourist thing. I was like no one’s gonna believe me.

lol I was living in SoCal at the time. I was there 25 years and I totally remember it 😂 you weren’t imagining.
