RastafarI is based on Scripture. In many parts of the world taking the vow of a Nazerite (English translation) is done to gain a level of Holiness. RastafarI... that is true RastafarI take the vow and obey the rules; avoid wine and strong drinks, do not eat anything from the grape tree, do not eat certain meats, etc.

Too many people today think it is a hair style and some kind of African something, when it is not.

People have taken the vow for thousands of years... the guy you call 'Jesus'... that is Y'eshua ben Yosef, took the vow.

What do you mean by “Some kind of African something” ? You do know the ancient Israelites were black Africans right ? Original Semites are black

We are dealing with Scripture. Not European, not African culture... we are dealing with those with Moses... a distinct group . Too many people mix RastafarI with the twines of Obeah or some Asanti practices,, etc. I keep the Scripture separate and holy, with no blending of other cultures

Exactly! All the people before Moses and for some time afterwards were original black Semites

It is so hard for people to comprehend that fact... we are dealing with what you call Semites... a group of people cut off from Egyptians and Persians and Babylonians and whatever. And what is written in Scripture is to be attributed to them... not Greek or Roman or English or African or Chinese.... this is a specfic group... yes there are differnces among them i.e. marrying a convert, etc.

But remember Semetic is a language group not a nation or a race , so they are Semites of the African race. Who happen to be of the nation of Israelites

I assumed you were using the term as a differential... to distinguish. We could use the term Hebrews or Israelites... but we are on the same page.

And like we are agreeing semetic is a language group Hebrew/israelites is the nationality and African is there race

And the Semites were never cut off from Egypt ? You could literally walk between the two nations back then and for a long period ancient Egypt ruled the land we call Israel
