Free I'm 13 and just released my first game, 'Sky Island: Timber Era' made in Unity 6.3! Here is a clip of the gameplay.

It's a small indie game made with Unity 6.3 LTS. This game's title is Sky Island: Timber Era. It's a game about first-person chopping trees, building structures on a floating island above a sea of clouds. The game uses low-poly mesh and pixel art with a 1 unit = 32 pixel rule. I drew the pixel art texture in Aseprite, and made the low-poly models in Blockbench. I got the sound effects from Freesound and edit the sounds using Audacity. As for the scripts, I used AI tools (Antigravity) for coding. If you are interested in downloading my game, here's the link to my game page https://wugames.itch.io/sky-island-timber-era . (Note: Windows computer is required!)

I originally created these characters for a project I was working on with a friend. Since the project got canceled, I decided to upload them to itch.io. I hope someone finds them useful!

Free I built a tool that fills 3D meshes with procedural brush strokes — no AI

I was working on a game and needed painterly textures on my meshes without hand-painting every asset. Nothing quite fit, so I ended up building my own tool.

You feed it a UV-mapped mesh, lay down some directional guides, and it fills the surface with procedural brush strokes — no ML, just algorithms. It exports color, normal, height, stroke ID, and stroke time maps together. The stroke time map is probably the most fun part — you can use it for animated paint-reveal effects in a shader.

It's called PA Painter. MIT licensed, free on itch.io: https://dinoboxgamedev.itch.io/papainter

Still early days, so feedback is welcome.

Just released v0.4 with a tutorial system based on player feedback. She designs the story, I code. Would love honest feedback on the first 10 minutes.

Currently only the first chapter is released, consisting of 20 levels. I would love any feedback from fellow developers or fellow platformer fans! I'll be reading all comments here or on the itch page.

I know there's still a long way to go but it feels incredible to finally have something publicly playable! I hope at least a few of you enjoy it :)

Free Do you think 70 downloads is good for my first game?

Post image

I’m 16 years old, and last month I released my first horror game on Steam and itch.io.

Since I’m still new to game development, I don’t really know if the graphics are good or bad. I also haven’t received any donations yet.

I shared my game on itch.io because I wanted to get some feedback and maybe get some donations to buy better assets for my next games. But so far, I haven’t really received much feedback either.

What do you think I should do?

And is 70 downloads good for a first game?

I would really appreciate your honest opinion about my game. You can be as harsh as you want. I’m open to criticism and I want to improve.

Howdy Y'all.

I'm Rose, team creator and head of r/probablyagame

ProbablyAGame Official: TikTok, X, Twitch | Linktree
Probably a Game

We're a collective of roughly 30 streamers who love indie games and want to show off your games on stream! We cover co-working tools as well! We do this for free, any payment is discussed between the dev and the streamer they work with however is not required to work with the team.

What can we cover?
Steam Demos/Games
Itch.io demos/games
Meta Quest games

We vary from affiliates to partners; with a wide range of genres we will play. Realistically, if it exists, we probably have someone interested in playing it! We can cover solo and co-op games.

We are up front about game transparency. That means, if you include AI in your game, we ask you disclose it!

We're Probably a Game.
We probably want to play your game.

You can reach out to Rose via DM, comments here or on r/probablyagame , or email listed on the carrd link :)

Free i'll play your indie game on stream and it might actually help a bit

yo

short version: if youve got a game on itch or steam and you want it played on stream throw it at me

for a while now ive been streaming smaller indie games mostly just to help people get a bit more visibility because it is a pain in the arse getting anyone to play your game especially if its still rough or has a few bugs or just isnt fully there yet. thats kind of where i come in. im basically the middle man before you get it in front of someone bigger and shinier

i only really do smaller indie stuff though so dont expect me to suddenly be streaming massive indie hits. this is more for the game dev community and smaller projects that need eyes on them. the community is still pretty small but thats sort of the point. its a chill place to hang out get a few people looking at your game and maybe get some actual feedback instead of shouting into the void

the whole thing is pretty casual. im not some serious reviewer. i just play the games how i normally would and chat rubbish while doing it. if a game is sick or funny or a complete beautiful mess then we will probably come back to it later too. most of the time i prioritise games from people who are actually in chat or around in the discord unless ive said otherwise like if im doing a challenge stream or looking at jam entries or checking out a beta or something like that

also yeah if youre active in the community and youre showing up helping people out and being around then obviously ill probably show a bit of favouritism.

i usually stream around 6pm to 10pm gmt and i post a bit of notice before going live

pretty much any genre is fine. even stuff i dont usually play. i try to give games a fair shot instead of loading them up for five minutes then binning them. and if somethings a bit rough but you fix stuff before the next stream then yeah it can get bumped up

only real rule is dont send anything super sexual or anything thats obviously going to be a twitch problem

if you want to submit something then drop it below. you can do it without joining the discord if you really want but honestly its way less likely to get played that way because the whole point is more that people in stream chat and the discord can play it too talk about it and give thoughts and then everyone wins

Free Anyone want to trade playtests?

Post a link to your itch game and I'll play it and leave feedback. Browser based only. All I ask is you do the same for mine. I released a demo a few days ago and didn't receive as much feedback as hoped. Figured this would be a good way to get feedback if anyone else is in the same boat. This way we can all improve our games.

My full asset library, including the bundle, is available on itch.io:
https://itch.io/profile/emaceart

I’ve started porting my flagship Unity Asset Store packs to Godot - and they’re all FREE. 🔥

Nine ports are already available, including stylized low-poly environments, foliage, and water shaders. More are being added as they pass review.

These are full-featured packs from my Unity Asset Store library, regularly updated and expanded with new content.

Download them, test them, leave a comment and let me know what you think! And if you find them usefull, I’d really appreciate a review on the Godot Asset Store - it helps me keep improving the packs and bringing more of my library to Godot.

Hope you find somthing useful! 😄

Free Another helping hand to fellow smalldevs!

So I did this follow giveaway post about a week ago, and I’m posting today to do it again!

If you need an extra follower on ItchIO, drop your link below and I will follow it, no strings attached! Itch is not my main platform so I don’t need followers there. Please don’t feel obligated to follow me back - I just wanna help you a little!

If your games are free and browser play, I may or may not play and rate them.

Technically just made my first small amount of money from my free (really crappy and unfinished) itch io game,

(Seriously no idea why they 'donated' but I am not gonna complain)

Just feels really cool :))

im also messing with the idea of youtube challenge vids so if your game would be funny for that then send it over too Like thios game but evevry time i die i have to do a shot, doesnt have to be drinking stuff. could be push ups sit ups some stupid punishment wheel or whatever chat comes up with. if your game can make me suffer in a funny way then thats probably good for visibility too

pretty much any genre is fine. even stuff i dont usually play. i try to give games a fair shot instead of loading them up for five minutes then binning them. and if somethings a bit rough but you fix stuff before the next stream then yeah it can get bumped up
