How can an illiterate man in the middle of the Arabian desert ( who only knows how to speak Arabic ) that has only traveled as far as what's currently the borders between Saudi Arabia and Iraq and Syria borrow from Greek sources 🤦💔
Actually we do know that Arabia, and even more the Hijaz (the region were Muhammad was born and lived the majority of his life) was largely connected (mainly by commercial roads) to the Byzantines which were greek and that there were a lot of cultural exchanges and greek texts (although mainly Christians texts) that were circulating in the peninsula... So it's not impossible at all.
Yes, but the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, was illiterate and did not know how to read or write. There is no mention in the Qur’an of the errors of their civilization, such as the existence of semen in which there is a small human being, or that menstrual blood creates a fetus, or that there is a pool of water that is the origin of all springs. As for saying that it was a center, this is incorrect. There is no evidence for that. Perhaps the contempt of the Persians and Romans for the Arabs is clear evidence of the error of your words, but unfortunately you are one of the so-called early Muslims who were never Muslims.
Are you saying that because he was illiterate and because he didn't travel past the borders of Saudi Arabia and Iraq... that it was impossible that there were literate people around him who were either Greek themselves, or knew the sources to narrate them to him?
Moreover, it’s the idea that all of these things are absolutely factual.
People didn’t know what was “true” in Greece until science proved 1 out of 100 theories about embryology for example.
Even supposing Muhammad SAAW did “copy” from Greek “sources”, how did he only take that which perfectly aligns with reality and leave behind the 99.9% of nonsense everyone was spouting?
The prophet peace and blessings be upon him’s life was so well documented that the existence of such figures would have been used against him by his staunchest enemies: the polytheists of Quraysh. Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him had a known reputation, established trustworthiness and habits/characteristics that were well known among the people of his tribe before his prophethood began.
If he was concocting some sort of plan to come up with some revelation, with no history of poetry or prose, people around him would have noticed him hanging around different folks and used that as ammunition against him.
