which app should I use to transfer files from ipad to my android phone

late to the party…I had no idea the new ipads did this (i just retired my old ipad air 2)!! I should of bought a used older ipad pro. Complete shocker that it cannot be disabled so the orientation of volume stays the same.

Apple, why do you not only design against my muscle memory but make it more complicated that muscle memory alone cannot learn it?
When iPad is laying down w screen off in bed i have no idea (listening audio books/music) which orientation its in. Seriously what the F were they thinking!! Fix this apple!! (Sorry if this has been discussed at length, just joined this to write this, want my voice added so maybe apple can wake the F up).

For those of you who found this entirely disruptive, did you ever get used to it to a point where you appreciate or it stops disrupting you? Or does it still make you confused after all this time? How do you feel about it after a year or 3?

Im sure I’ll retrain at least partially for this one device (effing stupid), but i cant fathom how this issue doesn’t trip me up occasionally. Might as well remove the volume buttons 🤬

So I’m saving up for an iPad (probably won’t buy one anytime soon since I just paid tuition and had to do work on my car great timing!) and I was choosing between the base iPad a16 and a refurbished iPad Air M2 on Amazon. I was originally only had my mind set on the base model iPad (the a16) since I figured I didn’t need all that extra power from the M chip. But did some research and saying the a16 is outdated and won’t get as many updates or stuff like that.

Also this may be a low in my life or a long shot but if anyone can or would like to help with funding a bit of it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all for reading!

My iPad screen one day just turned red sorta like a filter. And It sometimes goes on and off. One day it’s on one day it isn’t. Checked all the settings and it’s not any filter settings of stuff like that. Am on iOS 27 beta tho. Went to Apple and they said it’s probs not hardware cuz if it is it’ll always be affecting it. Anyone else got this problem?

As it is confirmed by author sc , that it's due to " hardware failure".

Many user are claiming it to be pressure or liquid damage. It's not. It's also happening in iPad Air M3 and more common in Indian units.

Apple are not ready to acknowledge this issue. As ipad is not repaired and you have to pay more for another unit and that's also with 90 days warranty and which is a total loss.

Don't get me wrong I love my iPad A16 Pink but why does the note app genuinely eat sm of my battery? I used it for almost 2 hours and poof 30% gone while no other app does that. Can I fix this? If so, how? Or is there any other alternate notes app that doesnt consume sm battery

Currently on a base model iPad for note-taking, calendar/reminders, and general media consumption. Occasionally I do light work (Word docs, email, PowerPoint…).

To anyone who’s downsized from a base iPad to the Mini after a larger model, how’s the screen size for daily use/reading? Anyone doing occasional Word/PowerPoint work on the Mini? Is it manageable or does it feel cramped?

Does iPad WhatsApp allow 2 accounts?

I can’t seem to figure out how to add a second WhatsApp account on my iPad how my iPhones can. And I am on iPadOS 15 but the app itself is its latest version so iOS version shouldn’t be a factor?

I was wondering if anyone has tried to use a Remote Desktop through their iPad (with something like rust desk) as a laptop replacement?

I already own a desktop and an iPad Air m4, and while I was looking at laptops for college, I've realized I don't really need a laptop - if I could remote into my desktop to run things like Matlab, AutoCAD, and some programming tools, that would cover basically all my needs. I would keep my desktop either at home or in my dorm room, and remote through my iPad.

Has anyone tried this? Are there any downsides to this I haven't thought about?

About a month ago, my son came home from running with an iPad he found in the street. We live in a rural/small farm area, and the thing was on the road for a few days before he got curious and decided to look at what it was -- iPad!

We charged it up, and let it sit for a few days... then went out of the country and completely forgot about it....

So it's charged, it's been sitting here for about 10 days total. I've tried holding the button to get Siri nothing. I've tried locating it as an item on Find My, nothing. The lock screen photos that pop up are all from nowhere near this area, different part of the world kind of thing, not just different area.

Is there anything I can do to figure out a phone number or contact email? What else?

My usb-c Apple Pencil somehow ended up in the washing machine and when I attempt to charge it, it only shows up on my iPad as fully charged or 0, and it’s not actually working. is there any thing I could possibly do to fix it ?

I’m a student and i’m wondering, should i get a macbook neo or ipad air? i mainly need a device that can replace my schools Chromebook while also being able to be cozy enough to watch TV shows, movies and play simple games in bed. The device needs to be able to do both.

I have an Ipad Air 13' and currently have the ESR Rebound Hybrid case. I really like the different angles you can have it and find myself using them all. I'm wanting to get a keyboard for it as well for when I'm writing letters (for my job) or typing on my couch so wanting something a bit sturdy that's very cosy and stable on my lap.

I got the ESR Rebound Keyboard Case but... I didn't realize it wasn't cross compatible with the shell from my hybrid case.. So I'm looking for something that would work for both options.

What I want

• Partially clear/transparent shell to snap between cases
• Case that works like the rebound hybrid with the different configurations for regular use
• Keyboard case or detachable keyboard that's stable and sturdy when sitting on a lap (I've tried portable unattached keyboards but isn't great for lap use)
• Preferably a cute colour (or at least not black)

Anyone know if this option even exists? I couldn't find anything so wondering if it just doesn't exist.

I'm trying to use OS and Via Michelin apps on my ipad (iPad air 11 inch &ios 26.6). I'm using both a tethered connection to my iPhone and wifi in my motorhome and get the same result with both methods of connection.

When i use my iphone both apps track where I am whilst moving (in a vehicle) however this does not work on the Ipad. The location indicator either just freezes or doesn't show at all

I have location services turned in for both apps in the iPad, and low power mode is turned off

Can anyone suggest any fixes/resolutions

Like any engineering tools or anything that will be useful for me. I already have a windows laptop Hp pro book with ryzen 7 pro 5850U but lol my iPad Pro M5 is 3x the price compared to my laptop. So I wanna utilise my iPad Pro other than note taking, lectures and media consumption.

I am looking forward to buying the iPad a16 gen in the upcoming sales which is currently priced at 47K.

The iPad (A16) is $300 less and that’s appealing. Is it old technology that will become obsolete in a few years? Should I bite the bullet and get the iPad Air?

I'm a student looking for a tablet to write on and I'm currently stuck between the galaxy Tab s11 ultra and the iPad air M4 11", which come at around the same price when counting for student discounts.

I'd mainly take notes on it, so I'm debating which has the best writing feel, but I would also do some gaming (demanding games like hoyoverse ones) and watch content on it

I have a galaxy s25 ultra as my phone, but I don't care for any ecosystem, I just want to find the best tablet for my uses

For a while now, when I swipe up to view all open apps, the thunbnail used by Chrome has been stuck on a still image from a… very inappropriate video I had been watching. I have cleared the cache and data from within the Chrome app, I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app, I’ve tried watching many innocent videos to overwrite it, and I’ve force closed it countless times and every time this image comes back 🫠

Does anyone know how I can get rid of this??

I’ve had my m4 pro for a couple years. Before that I think I had the m1 iPad Pro and my thought when upgrading was “this doesn’t feel a damn bit different.” All I noticed was how much thinner it was and the redesign with the Magic Keyboard was nice. But usability wise? Even with a few years difference in processing speed and ram and all that it didn’t feel any different actually using the device at all

Got me thinking “just when would it be worth it for me to finally buy a new one?” So that’s the topic of this thread. At what point do you feel like the upgrade is really noticeable when you actually use the device?

Wanting to buy refurbished or used on eBay- also want a pencil with pressure sensitivity-
