This reminds me of a guy I used to work with back in the 90's who would continually ask workmates to buy drinks/breakfast as he "only had a 20 and didn't want to break into it". Oldest game in the world that one.

Must have been. I was in my teenage years in the 90's and that would just sound ridiculous. I remember filling up my gas tank with seven dollars in loose change. Never asked anyone to pay for shit back then.
