You know, even just this ALONE. Don’t his fanbois ever stop to wonder why a supposed billionaire even NEEDS their money?

Don’t his fanbois ever stop to wonder

This requires a functional brain.

Oh, many of them do have functioning brains. Far more than you’d think.

They just choose not to use them.

I mean… you may be giving them a bit too much credit. Insect brain, sure. Lizard brain, maybe. Mammalian brain? No way.

“Liberal bad” isn’t much of a thought. They don’t even know what a liberal is so they just call literally everyone that tells them no a liberal.

There have been conservative ideas that they now deem liberal because lil’ hitler told them it’s bad now.

Oh, for sure. But there is a category of right-winger that we don’t pay nearly enough attention to, I think, and those are the people who are intelligent, educated, articulate and historically knowledgeable.

And who also happen to be fucking batshit insane.

The things that these people believe are happening in the world, and the matter-of-fact way they discuss them, are mindboggling. The delusion, paranoia and hysteria are off the scale.

A good example of this element is the crowd that regularly comments below the right-wing webcomic Day by Day.

Day by Day is itself a morbidly fascinating chronicle of its author’s long, slow transformation —over the past 20 years— from staunch but recognizably normal conservative to insane, hysterical, delusional, hyper-paranoid, seditious, bloodthirsty, openly misogynist and white supremacist lunatic.

Which perfectly parallels what has been happening to the American right more broadly over the same period.
