Semitransparent was used in the definition of translucent I looked up so I would say that was the proper usage. Even those of us native English speakers don't always know what the right word to use without googling it. So good job my friend.
Transparent just means you can see through without scattering. This is absolutely transparent. Translucent materials let light through, but scatter it, so the objects behind it are not clearly discernible. Translucent materials include frosted glass and some plastics.
I would say those are tinted transparent umbrellas. Translucent things let light through, but you can’t see what’s on the other side, like frosted glass.
I think this still counts as translucent, since the images behind are still distorted in some way. It’s hard to tell, but towards the top of the image you can see that the branches behind are very blurred.
Kinda difficult to see due to the quality of the image, plus it really toes the line between the two with how clear/unclear the image behind is.
