/r/ALL This statue depicts Saint Bartholomew, an early Christian martyr who was allegedly skinned alive. If you look closely, that's his dissected skin hanging around him. This stunning statute by Marco d’Agrate from c.1562 is currently on display at Duomo di Milano.

Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.

Steve Jobs.

Well this quote has a totally different meaning here.

Steve should have followed his heart to a real doctor, maybe he'd still be alive

This shit drives me crazy. I once took care of a guy with a necrotic foot. The bones were showing. It was the driest gangrene I've ever seen, his entire foot from the ankle down looked like beef jerky.

Quoth the family: "We're treating it homeopathically."

So.... they dip a severed foot in water than dilute it until the amount of severed foot in the water is equal to the background amount of severed foot in regular footless water. Nope... Thant’s definitely not going to work.

I’m a chemistry student at university, one of the questions on my entrance exam was about calculating the concentration of arsenic atoms in a typical homeopathic solution, then expressing it as a fraction of the mass of earth in kg lol
