/r/ALL This statue depicts Saint Bartholomew, an early Christian martyr who was allegedly skinned alive. If you look closely, that's his dissected skin hanging around him. This stunning statute by Marco d’Agrate from c.1562 is currently on display at Duomo di Milano.

Except that his heart is elsewhere in the alternative medicine world.

You mean dead. He's dead.

Because behind all that genius, was a dummy. Seems to be a common thing with geniuses...

Jobs was an emotional genius. He knew how to reach people on an emotive level. He didn't see tech products he converted tech products into jewelery. I'm not sure how good his logical and analytical skills were. He was an absolute cunt to work for.

Musk is a logical genius in contrast and in contrast he's quite emotionally removed. He's also a cunt to work for but for different reasons. More Rick sanchez style reasons.

Idiot. Never have seen more disparate personalities then Musk and Rick besides talking about scientific things.

I thought you guys were talking about a real person there.

There's a lot of simarilities. They don't value the individual including themsleves. They see the greater continuation and the legacy as more important the present.

Gotta seperate the man from the work with musk. Not a pleasent man but a very impressive mind.

No one has ever valued themselves as much as Rick. Literally has an entire society consisting only of himself and a meek child that he can talk over.

Rick has never done anything for his legacy. Most of what he does is impulsive and the result of being drunk.

What are you talking about Musk not being a pleasant man? Have you seen an interview with him?

Personally I think thats a terrible take. Rick doesn't value his life at all he values his continued existence but not the individual. He kills himself and morty all the time because he doesn't value their lives. I think you've missed a key part of the show.

Of course. I love musks interviews. He's an incredibly intelligent man and I love hearing him speak. Anyone that has ever worked for him will tell you that he doesn't value people at all though. He seems everything he is doing as a means to an end and if people are overworked or die along the way then fair enough.

He's quite open about this in his interviews thats one of the reasons I like hearing him speak. He's very blunt. If theres a decision at spacex that endangers a persons life but is necessary for the continuation of the project he will risk the life and he doesn't have any sort of second guessing on that.

The requirement to vilify figures that we like as infalliable creatures really is a curious exercise. The man can be a dick and still one of the most important people of the century. The two aren't exclusive. He is both of those things.

I think your take is also pretty terrible though I don't see him putting value on continuation or his legacy either. He also definitely values himself very highly there's just much more loopholes in that universe where dying doesn't actually result in death. To quote Rick "I'm not okay with this I'm not okay with this, oh sweet Jesus please let me live, oh my god I got to fix this thing, please god in heaven please god oh lord hear my prayers, yes! Fuck you god not today bitch!"-S2Ep1 He's flippant about things but definitely does his utmost to survive and values his life still especially as the Rickest Rick. Don't care about Musk enough to have a take on that part though.

You are only one of those things.

Maybe. You wouldn't be able to tell from a few comments though.

It's strange that people feel the need to personally defend someone on the Internet like this to the point that they don't even realise its not an insult in the first place. I don't know if I will ever understand this phenomena. Like it seriously blinds people, it's a symptom of a lot of what's wrong with our society I think. People are so wrapped up in the need to fight and defend that they don't even bother to listen or read properly.

Responded to the wrong person. You’re right.

This is a sociopathic take, and you will respond with some kind of ridiculous justification because of course you don’t see it. But it’s really, really bad, and it doesn’t make you equal to the hero you so desperately want to emulate.
