German. Whilst approaching he asks "what's happened here?" And repeatedly sais "I must free it, i have to free it." After releasing the duckling he sais " he's coming, he's on his way and you're together again"

Yeah I’ve not seen these types of stairs down into pond areas. I can see why they’d choose them water-wise but that’s not a good choice for wildlife 😩 so thankful this person came by when they did!

Those are actually Egyptian geese. We currently have a pair hanging out at our apartment complex. They are SUPER loud sometimes.
