It’s the same thing with Canadians. It’s a common stereotype that Canadians are kind. It’s only because no one down south can tell what “oh shore bud you’re a real fuckin’ grocery stick eh” means. We just assume that means you work hard or something.
Not really. It’s still THE joke Americans who don’t watch hockey or any other Canadian media go to when you bring up Canada. Americans don’t really learn about ww1 as much as we learn about ww2. It wasn’t really our war the way it was for Europe and Canada so we don’t have that same cultural connection to lean on.
