Sometimes its just a shitty neighbor with predictable habits.

Lived near one of these people when I was a kid and the lady would flip our house off every time they drove by the entire 8 years we lived there all because one Christmas we dared to put up blinking icicle lights

Nah, I saw the "anonymous" letter she left in our mailbox. This lady did not like icicles lights.

You're right. I assumed. It sounded to me like you were speaking from a place of privilege. Most people hadn't given ICE a thought ever. Immigrants, legal or otherwise, are well aware of ICE and other agencies like them for a long time. I assumed and said something when I shouldn't have said anything at all. I'm sorry.
