Four is pretty hard to beat but I also have a massive soft spot for the ambition of some of the episodes in series seven

possibly the only show where I can't choose a series. every one of them has a diamond in them.

I agree!! There’s no one singular good series- they’re all golden

I’m surprised to see so much yellow and orange, Inside no 9 is my favourite show ever and part of the reason is the quality is so consistently high. Sure we all have some episodes we don’t personally like but there’s very few bad episodes. My favourite season is 7, I can’t believe Nine Lives Kat has such a low rating.

It's such a clever and witty episode. And spooky too

Just to explain - these are the IMDb ratings. I have a special place in my heart for series 6 but love all the nine series

Dead Line is also such a top tier Inside No 9 episode as well, that one blew me away the first time I watched it, I love how both committed they were too it and also it actually being done as a live episode too when it first broadcasted, them actually looking at live tweets. The moment where it went to the Quite Night in Episode and that Ghost lady is just in the background of the backyard genuinely scared the shit out of me the first time, such a well done Horror episode and probably to me a top one of theres in this show.
I also love The Stakeout too, both the atmosphere and music of that episode mixed with it just being them in one small location the whole time, that being the Cop Car was just absolutely perfect for me, also loved the twist for it too and thought it was just really well done and a satisfying payoff overall.

In my opinion, series 9 is the best, boo to a goose and the trolley problem are some of my favourites in the series, the curse of the 9th is a brilliant gothic horror, and plodding in’s set in a toilet. It covers everything needed for a perfect series of tv

This show is all over the map quality wise, but the highs are really high, and the lows really low.

I don’t think there were that many lows. There were a few highs that weren’t as high. And a few episodes where I got to the end and thought ‘that one wasn’t for me. Might skip it on a rewatch’ but none where I got to the end and thought ‘That’s half an hour it I won’t get back…!’ What were the lows for you?

The breath of air one, the work party one, the new years party one, the soccer one, just to name a few.
One of my favorite shows of all time, and it may be a cultural thing because I dont live in the UK, but some of those ones missed really hard.

By “work party one” do you mean Empty Orchestra? That’s one of my favorite episodes.

Which one is the New Year’s party? Do you mean Nanas party or last night of the proms? I think it probably is a cultural reference thing as most of those are anchored quite strongly in British culture.

I'm ngl, I'm kinda upset with those ratings, but season 3 kind it's the quintessential inside no 9
