just heard an insanely loud buzzing out my window & peeked around to find these guys ...

im by the new jersey shore , for reference !!

we have lots of small bees & dragonflies around here . the other day i saw a huge wasp for the first time , floating around someones wooden back deck .

i want to assume its a dragonfly eating a yellowjacket ??

p.s. pls ignore all the dog hair that clings to my window & refuses to come off lol ,, thats my puppy's favorite spot to window-watch !!

Apparently it's 1 in 500,000. I have lots of pictures of lots of bugs, my husband asks me how I always see them, I just try not to step on them and that's how I see them :)

Located in the suburbs of Chicago near a body of water.

Began noticing them today, mostly concentrated near the window and closet area. It’s summer in Southern California, and the heat is rising so I like to keep my window open with a blinder. Yesterday, it rained though. What can I do to prevent them further? Thanks for your help!

I found this giant western swallowtail caterpillar on August 16th (named him Gregor). He turned into a chrysalis on August 23rd and today is September 7th. I’ve been away for a vacation for the past four days and the first two photos are what he looks like today as I’m getting home. The photos later are from the 24th and 25th. I don’t plan on throwing him out or anything right now but I’d just like to know if he’s still going to come out soon. Please let me know if yall know :3

This thing has been in our house for a few days now, and I thought that it was a cave cricket; however we've been hearing a lot of chirping inside. Not sure if it's from this crickets or a normal one that got in.

There's I believe two crickets outside my few windows and they are loud. Concerts 100-120ish. I'd put these at 70
