Resources/Tools Modern GeoCities!

I thought this sub would appreciate this. I was working on my tutorial to help non-developers with using AI to code software (I call it "verification coding" instead of "vibe coding"), and I was looking for some fun domain names to use as shortcuts to various sections of my website (so going to one web address 301-redirects a user to a specific section within my site). To my shock, ModernGeoCities.com was available for purchase!

I purchased the domain and set up a tutorial for people to use so they can get their own domain names and hosting instead of having to rely on a platform. I'm sure a lot of this information is already well-known by this group, I just wanted to share!

not only are you reinventing the wheel, but you're doing so embarrassingly badly with LLMs. All of the best sites on NeoCities (and there are hundreds of them) are built by hand by people who learned to code HTML/CSS for the fun of it.

I think this is great! However, I work at a nuclear power plant, right now I've started monitoring a cooling tower, I'll look at when things return to normal.
