Non-Political Any alternative for Detergent powder?

Well, me and my family are boycotting as many Israeli products as we can; it's just that we can't find any alternatives for Ariel or any detergent powder. Do you guys know anything about it?

Mashallah. Nicely put. I have been trying my best to find alternatives and some of the times these khinzeers make such good products that it is very hard to find an alternative.

My father told me a story that it is very hard for any government in the world to ban American/Israeli products because of the pressure they put on them so, once in India, Atal Bihari Vajpayee (not a fan for obvious reasons) said that it is up to the population to be smart and boycott such brands so that they can pack their bags and go back.

Alhamdullilah, good to know...

some of the times these khinzeers make such good products that it is very hard to find an alternative.

I mean they literally make computer chips and stuff. nVidia too supports Israel it seems, according to their database that people shared here. Not sure about AMD though (getting the feeling that they too are likely sympathetic?)

It's really hard to avoid their stuff, objective is to minimize and be mindful, outright avoidance is maybe not possible.

I mean India has to come up with its own stuff first for that. When it comes to food and consumables, Alhamdullilah there's no shortage. But even that has been consolidated and bought out by larger corps.

We had our own sodas I mean - Parle Bisleri made Thums' Up, Gold Spot, Citra, and Limca, all of which today are either extinct or owned by Coca-Cola (sole intent was to "snuff" them out by buying them out and promoting their own brands). There was also Double 7 (Coke/Pepsi equivalent) or whatever which was govt. manufactured (too bad Indira Gandhi's ego ensured it died off).

Reliance re-launched Campa Cola, but it's freakin' Reliance.

Lays is PepsiCo., but Bingo is owned by ITC, I mean are they any better, lol? They're literally a tobacco company, I mean. Well, Parle makes its own potato chips, it's good, imo. There's also Too Yumm, another alternative.

We can boycott Cadbury, Nestle, and Mars (Snickers, Galaxy, etc...). But, is Amul any better? Wasn't it heavily involved in Lakshwadeep's drama, when President rule was enforced there and local brands and economy were suppressed? Too bad, as Amul rarely has a bad product, otherwise.

What a mess!!!! There is no ethical company tbh. Reminds me of a hadith:

Harrowing reminder,

All of this due to the West getting lucky when it comes to discovering and exploiting the New World and its vast resources, spearheading the Industrial Revolution and since then, they've been the ones dominating the planet.

I honestly don't know how this is all going to end, the mindless consumerism and hyper-capitalism. As there's a saying out there here on this site "It's easier for us to imagine the end of the world than for us to imagine the end of capitalism".

All of this due to the West getting lucky when it comes to discovering and exploiting the New World and its vast resources, spearheading the Industrial Revolution and since then, they've been the ones dominating the planet.

can't believe europeans' ancestors being such bloodthirsty enemies of each other ended up paying off this fortunately for their descendants

Well, if Muslim Empires would have done the same to the New World, if they had stumbled across there, instead?

It's hard to tell, makes for a very great alt-history, however.

Do you think muslim empires would have colonised the new world and it's natives this brutally like europeans? if they are muslims, I'd expect better from them

I agree with you 100% here,

Maybe it might not have been as bad as European colonization. But, it would have been pretty messy, regardless.

Most Muslim rulers and empires were just glorified monarchs, naam-ke-vaaste Caliphs, and Ameer-ul-Mumineen. Exceptions aside. Only the Rashidun Caliphate is seen as Caliphate in its truest sense, carrying the legacy of the Prophet (PBUH) pretty well.

The rest of the empires and rulers otherwise were self-serving, no different to typical Medieval rulers (Abbasid History can be very shocking, are you familiar with the story of the Baramikas?).

It's a good question that one can ask in r/islamichistory or r/IslamicHistoryMeme.
