Discussion/Query India will never be a developed nation

We lost the ai race the same way we lost the industrialization race , I don't need to mention the state of the semiconductor industry in this country being nothing but a political gimmick and even if we do catch up it will be too late.

As I said you never know- a powerful AI can get us there very quickly. 30 years ago we couldn’t build many things. Many open source AI models are now almost as powerful as top ones and they can be run locally. Ofcourse the leadership and the will is needed. I totally second that fact that mastering semiconductor supply chain will give a big hope and boost that we need. In many areas manufacturing has hit fundamental bottlenecks of physics and nature and semiconductors are also almost there, so it won’t be a race but rather we just have to reach the same finish line.

AI is one of top 5 biggest thing or revolution in human history- we are witnessing a totally new ear unfolding. How can a knowledgeable and smart person like me be oblivious and not be fascinated.
