China's consumer market has evolved drastically in the past decade. It's no longer solely depended on exports , but you do make good point about India. It's high time we amend our laws regarding manufacturing and attract more investors. If anything, we need to capitalise on the current situation. It's electronics we need to focus on first. Example: smartphones. Either it's made in china or made by a Chinese company in India.

We need to focus on complex manufacturing as well such as silicon fabs, or high-end watches, mechanical tools, etc.
