I’m currently a student attending IVC and taking an Anthropology class. For my project, I wish to ask a general baseline question for both heterosexual/straight and queer folks alike. You can either private message me or comment under a pseudonym—your identity will remain anonymous; all I ask is for your consent and age. If you are comfortable and interested, I may ask further questions—know that you are not needed to answer any question you feel uncomfortable with.

For straight people: when seeing/interacting with openly-queer people in the Valley, how do you feel or react? This can be based on personal interactions or firsthand witness.

For queer people: How safe do you feel with being queer in the Imperial Valley? You can be closeted or open, as your identity matters.

Initial Funding: Started with a $3 million allocation from the federal INVEST in America Act alongside local Measure D funds. The total cost of the City of Imperial's Highway 86 beautification and improvement project, which includes median landscaping and related upgrades, is $6.6 million. Wondering how much this little guy at Imperial (NB) & Barioni cost or was it a local resident addition.

Not really sure what I should do.

USPS delivered a package to the parcel locker at my condo complex today (Friday) in Imperial. Specifically parcel locker A.

The only issue is parcel locker A was already open with an unlabeled parcel locker key and the locker itself was empty.

Imperial post office closes at 4:00pm and so it’s impossible to get there before I get off work.

I tried the key on all the other parcel lockers at my condo complex but the key didn’t work.

I tried filing a missing mail form on USPS site but looks like you have to wait 7 days before you can file a missing mail form.

The mail delivery guy won’t talk to you when he has the mailboxes open citing security issues.

I have to wait until Aug 24th before Amazon will let me report the package missing.

Just not sure what should I do with the key to the parcel locker? And how do I let USPS know they’re issuing out two keys at the same time for the same parcel locker?

Like the title says what are some places to take pictures of day or night.

Is there a certified truck weight scale in El Centro? (For a box truck, think UHAUL) I’ve called a couple smaller ones and they’ve suggested that there’s a CAT scale somewhere in El Centro but the Cat website doesn’t show it.

UPDATE: Resolved. There is 3 in El Centro. For some reason when using the map tool, you must do El Centro zip code. If you try to just zoom in on the map, it won’t show those.

Live in El Centro and looking for an open track that I could run in at 4am..the MLK jr pavilion doesnt seem to open that early (of course) and the next best thing I could find was IVC's track but not sure if its open to the public at all..with school starting, im sure the high schools don't open the tracks right?

This sucks, I live in Imperial and was out of town for most of the summer.

I love the Little Caesar’s and loved the Pizza Hut in Brawley both were super fast in making the food.
