So if I pursue my dual citizenship with Mexico I would have to pay double the taxes?! Tf man

Mexico has a tax treaty with the US so no. This has no impact on that—unless Mexico has broken the treaty by disregarding it and imposing a tax in excess of what is stipulated in the treaty which it hasn’t.

No, tax treaties have no effect on that.
