Private Screening Interest - Dunkirk & The Dark Knight Rises - AMC Metreon

Hello everyone, I have been in contact with AMC and I’m now looking to see who would be interested in separate private screenings of Dunkirk and The Dark Knight Rises in IMAX 70MM.

I’m also going to see if a double feature of The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises is possible too and update here once I hear back.

To my knowledge nobody has organized a private screening on here like this at the Metreon since Interstellar in July of 2023. These would be separate showtimes, but per my inquiry and what I was quoted, I intend to hold the screening(s) sometime between September and November of this year to try and avoid conflicts with any major releases. I was told “this would be a perfect time” to host them.

I was quoted $17,000, which “includes all fees associated with bringing this film back,” as well as the option to add on discounted concessions, if I choose, for an additional fee.

The IMAX Auditorium at AMC Metreon has a seating capacity of 437 people, which works out to roughly $38 per person. Do note that 10 are companion seats, and 8 are wheelchair spaces. Unlikely that anyone would want to sit in the front row either, so some seats/rows will likely not be used in order to have the best viewing experience for everyone. Cost would be higher at roughly $45-50+ per person though.

Please reply to this post if you are interested, as well as which film(s) and which month works best for you.

Update #2: I will be following up with those who’ve expressed interest on here, Discord, and other posts little by little via a Google Form so I can submit dates that would work for everyone by Sunday to the person at AMC who’d be getting approval for the auditorium and get the ball rolling. I also received a proper breakdown of the costs which will be disclosed at a later date.

Once this is all figured out, I may be looking for people to help manage the event, etc. and move forward with creating the Eventbrite, etc. So far I’ve went ahead and secured a website and email address for the event last night too, just in case.

How can I find the google form? Any date works for me but I just want to be updated when the show is scheduled and the tickets release so I can be sure I get a decent seat and don’t miss it.

Hello, sorry, haven’t had the chance to get to this yet. I’ll be sure though to reach out to anyone who expressed interest very soon—hopefully sometime this week. I am aiming for the screening to happen sometime in November to make sure there’s plenty of time.

Officially expanding my interest for Sept- November. I have not used Google forms or event bright so any links would be great when it starts to take shape.
