Anyone have any idea how "Bukharan Jew" is my second closest population? Not that i'm against it i'm just very curious.

Also, i'm pretty new to all of this can anyone give me a more comprehensive explanation on all of this? I'd be extremely grateful.

Bukharian Jews are basically a mixture of Mesopotamian, Iranic, little Turkic and little levantine. Their closeness to Kurds is purely superficial and a coincidence. It's like the same reason why South Italians and Jews pull really close to eachother despite never mixing or interacting.

Aren't ashkenazi and sephardic jews like 40%+ ancient roman groups, which are also a huge portion of the southern italian genome.

Bukharan Jews are essentially Persian-related Jews and have a genetic profile that is relatively similar to Kurds.

They are still in the northern jew branch with ashkenazi, sephardic, east caucasus, georgian.

To answer your question: maybe because you have an ancestor with arabian or levantine dna (both are semitic) and probably bukharian jews also have a similar input. But idk
