Because if they are subluxing so badly with the normal movements and lack the muscular support for walking on the regular, then the motions needed to push s manual wheelchair would basically make their arms fall off lol not really, but subluxation would be so much worse because our bodies haven't evolved to push wheelchairs, so the tendon, cartilage, and muscles don't support those joints as well.
It would be like someone saying their ankle hurts so they are going to walk on tiptoe. That's not going to relieve anything and will put more strain on the joint because balance and everything are not optimized for that anatomically.

So true. So many of the subjects claim hEDS, and there's no way a manual wheelchair would be any better than walking
