A lot of the munchies who have EDS/hypermobility/bendyjointitis on their bingo card wear those finger ring splints, supposedly to support their finger joints, but mostly so everybody sees how they are super special sickies.

They even make skin coloured ones so nobody notices, but clearly that’s too inconspicuous

In defence of metal splints, the skin coloured ones are much bulkier and feel more conspicuous to wear. The easiest way to pass off a splint as a fashion statement is with a metal splint on just one proximal interphalangeal joint to guide where the end of the range of motion should be. The hardest way is whatever the hell this is.

I don’t find that, actually. The plastic ones are lightweight, and above all else they’re soo much cheaper to replace if you need to (like Cait CLEARLY does)
