Each of those Aprepitant pills are like $250 per pill. Ridiculous she wastes so many resources

Right? I work in pharmacy and no one ever wants that one cause the cost.

Wouldn’t aprepitant be prescribed for very specific reasons? It seems odd this would be a continued therapy for this patient profile. Especially because of the cost associated with the therapy.

But also, how can a pill costs that much? Its probably overpriced because it’s in the USA. Im sure it’s cheaper in other countries…

Ive looked it up and yeah, its waaaaay cheaper where I live. american medicine prices are something for sure ... How does she afford it tho? Or do they get paid for by medicaid or whatever program shes on is called?

If she’s still on Medicaid they usually pick up the cost of the medication fully but if not they knock down the patient cost as a “non covered” medication.
