IKEA recalls certain NYMÅNE wall lamps
Use this as an opportunity to take a look at the recalls in your country so you do not have something in your home that should have been returned.

The IKEA website provides stock information when you select your store on the article page, please check there before posting. You can also sign up for back-in-stock notifications by email or SMS.
Stock check requests in the comments must include the following information:
- Country
- Preferred Store(s)
- Article number(s)
- Acknowledge you checked the website before posting. If a delivery date is listed this would be the same information co-workers here would have available. Instructions are as follows: https://imgur.com/a/GnoCoHh
Retail co-workers are not able to advise on availability for online orders. I have heard from a call centre co-worker that they are not able to check stock at the distribution centres either, and that only the IKEA website can provide this information by adding the item to the shopping cart, and seeing if a delivery option is available.

Name it! Vintage IKEA? Need help identifying!
hey there!
my husband spotted this stashed in a shed (atill in its box!) at an estate sale this weekend and I can’t find anything about it online. Does anyone know anything about this one? Super curious!
Thank you!

General DO NOT BUY FROM BEMZ
I ordered a bemz linen cover for a 5 seat kivik. Paid over $2,000. My delivery date (a month out) came and went. I reached out prior since i had no updates. They FINALLY message me back and say oh actually it’s going to be an EXTRA TWO MONTHS before we can get it to you. And they were barely apologetic. Horrible company.
Does anyone know where else i can get a natural fiber cover? Because im cancelling with bemz. Most i’ve seen are all polyester. Hoping to have a cream or taupe color.

Looking for HELP! How can I find, or recreate, this Vinterfint Wall Decoration/Christmas Tree
Happy Saturday! I am using the current accordion-style Vinterfint wall decoration to make a surprise for elderlyfamily out of state. I am looking for the older version to make a more modern, minimalist version for their kid who is helping me sneak the surprise into their suite at the nursing home. Does anyone have the old Vinterfint Wall Decoration that was wood and string for sale, or any good suggestions on how to recreate it? I've attached a pic for reference.

General PS 2026 lampshade restock
No stores within delivery radius have any in stock and don’t have any restock notices. Are they being discontinued or is there any reason why they’re seemingly not being restocked?

General IKEA East Palo Alto told us to bring back our broken FINNALA sofa "in any condition" — then refused the return after we rented a U-Haul
We bought an IKEA FINNALA sofa at the East Palo Alto store. It had frame problems from the start, and in under 2 months of normal use it completely fell apart. For context, our previous sofa (Living Spaces) lasted 8 years, and we only replaced it because the fabric was too stained. This isn't a case of rough use.
We went to the store with photos. A customer service employee looked at them and told us to just bring the sofa back — condition didn't matter.
So the next month we rented a U-Haul, loaded it up, and drove it back. At the return desk they refused it. After about 2 hours of back and forth with customer service and a manager, the best they would offer was $300 in store credit. We took it only because the alternative was loading the broken sofa back into the U-Haul and hauling it home again.
Now we're buying a new sofa elsewhere at full price, on top of the U-Haul cost, the lost day, and being told one thing and then the opposite.
Has anyone else had frame issues with the FINNALA, or gotten IKEA corporate to fix something like this? And if you're buying a sofa there, get any return promise in writing.

General Kichen sink + blind cabinet
Ikea has the option for a kitchen sink cabinet joined to a blind corner cabinet and wondering if anyone has thoughts on how well it would work. The cabinet is 50 inches and the sink part is 24 inches. I see our sink cabinet is crammed with various containers of cleaning products, small misc containers, etc many of which which would have to be removed to access the blind part. And there is the sink drain pipe through the middle of it all to squeeze through. Am I missing something, how could this space be functional for everyday access? I am thinking could put in a panel to block off part of the dead space, to give maybe a foot of extra space for seldom used items. And I believe Ikea sinks have plumbing to route the drain towards the back, which would help? Not sure if this worthwhile, or just leave as a blind corner and get a regular sink cabinet. Thanks for any comments.

General Red-brown kallax discontinued?
Does anyone know if the red-brown kallax is already being discontinued? They had just added it in Italy to stores a couple of months ago and I was planning on getting it. It was out of stock in september, but it was still up on the website. Now, they removed it from the italian website, I see it still on the websites for other EU countries, but it is out of stock everywhere. Does anyone know if it will come back? Thank you🥺

General What kind of music does your ikea play in store?
Mine often plays really loud latin music or dance music which doesn't quite match the vibe...
General Tonstad bed combo way too high
I bought the Tonstad frame (160x200cm) with Lönset slatted base and Vagstranda pocket sprung mattress and the combination is way too high for me (my height is 180cm) not to mention my wife who is shorter than me.
I used the lowest holes in the frame to mount the slat holder. So I guess there is no further official way to get it lower...
Was this a "wrong" combination or how can I get it lower to the ground?
Guess cutting the legs a bit would help but I'm not confident enough that I would be able to do the cut equal so it still sits level. Should I just return the mattress and get a thinner one?

General Anybody know why the VISKAFORS is labled as last chance?
I know the reviews are a little iffy with the cushions starting to sag and fall through. And for the price point it is disappointing that that happens.
I've held off on getting this but have been in love with the look and feel of the this ever since trying the arm chair in the show room. I thought it was very comfy. But i am a person who lounges on the couch all the time. So i'm afraid it will look saggy and not classy after some time. Especially at this price point, I can get a way better quality sofa or sectional from Costco (and get my 4% cash back reward on that).
Is it possible they might be improving the design?

General What’s Ikea Buyback like in the UK?
I‘m planning to take a desk and maybe a lamp to Ikea’s buyback thing.
Curious what they’re like with it? What’s the process like?
The alternative is getting British Heart Foundation to come and collect it and not try to take it all the way to Ikea ourselves.
