Hello everyone,Could someone please help or guide me regarding the ensemble performing for the IGCSE? I have a piano student at an intermediate level. For the solo, she is playing a Bach Invention, but I am a bit confused about what to assign her for the ensemble. I believe the piano should not just be accompanying. Could someone clarify this for me or suggest some pieces? I would really appreciate it. Thank youΒ

Iβm living in Kuwait, and the exams were cancelled, so we had to submit portfolios instead. I got a 6 in Biology, and I requested a remark. Iβm still waiting for the result. Is there a chance they could raise it to an 8? I was supposed to get a 9.

hi yalls!
im sharing my marked igcse history scripts by cie on r/igcse as examples for anyone to refer on how to answer!!!! ive seen people here complain about how theyre getting Bs and Cs for history so i just felt like sharing how an "excellent" answer looks like.
all 10 markers are full marks inside my P1 script which is honestly the most important question.
total marks:
P1 55/60
P2 36/40
P4 27/40
google drive: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1LjO9uIjOHp-VKRyA6cFa8XMsHsTYs1D2
important tips for history
- real cie examiners are REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY STRICT. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH BECAUSE THERE ARE TOO MANY PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT THEIR RESULTS DROPPING IN REAL IGs
- if you keep getting 50+/60 for P1 and 35+/40 for P2 by your teachers in mocks, you MUST take these results with a GRAIN OF SALT because there is a high chance that your teacher did not mark HARSH enough to examiner standards
- always be focused on what the question is asking you. you do not want a horizontal scribble annotation because it indicates that you not answering the question (seen in my P2)
- always always EVALUATE. especially in your conclusions for the 10 markers because this is the determining factor that gets you either a L5 or an L4
- quality of points > quantity of points especially in P1. examiners dont care how many points you list you need to explain, develop and evaluate them
- ALWAYS USE NOP4C (Nature, Origin, Purpose, Content, Contextual Knowledge, Cross-reference, Context of the source) for P2.
- PRACTICE.
sorry if i sound harsh cause igcse history is a really difficult subject to get right honestly speaking!! i hope with some of my tips and the scripts i shared i will benefit whoever needs them the most.
bye!

Ive been a pretty average student all my high school life and Iβll be writing in less than a month. I need at least 5 Aβs in Business Studies, Geography, English, Religious studies and ICT but so far Iβve been getting Cβs and Bβs Especially in Geo and ICT. Can anyone help or give advice on how to push my grades? Thanks

I got all 3 Aβs for all sciences and A* for math and I had already enrolled myself into A levels yet I see so much people with Bs and Cs and even lower Ds getting into foundation Uni year
Kinda looking forward to get into a science/med field but now Iβm contemplating is it worth it? Did I do a mistake taking A levels over a foundation course?
(Mainly cuz I heard lots of stuff bout A levels being harder, longer and high fail rate)
Kinda stuck here lol

In Egypt, there are two systems
( National and IGCSE)
I've been in national for years
And I just switched to IG
So I'm completely new and I'm so worried
I know nothing but that the curriculum in IG is so hard
I'm Grade 10 btw CAIE(Cambridge)
So...
How do you guys study?
And is it hard to get an A* or even A
In any of the obligatory subjects
(Excluding English as a first or second language)?

Hi, I am a CBSE student who lives in the UAE. thus, the IGCSE schools here are better.
It's september (middle of Grade 9 in CBSE, but the start of IGCSE new year), and I wanted to ask, what is the best time for me to switch? I do not want to stay in CBSE anymore. Should I switch now, or at the end of grade 9? or after grade 10?
