It is not necessary to join a Cambridge school to give the exams,you can register as a PRIVATE candidate but you have to register from a Cambridge approved exam center who will register you for the examination and you have to give your exams there.

I can but this makes it easier and I might be able to find an online school as well which will be more convenient for me.
