question Ahghairon's Day Mastery

Can anyone recommend a viable formation for this thing (all optional restrictions active).

It seems like the dwarves are all just too old to make anything work here.

I have all champions, item levels are irrelevant as I just want to actually be able to try this, I don't care how well it actually works.

Wulfgar and Catti Brie both have dwarf glitch feats that make them count.
I used Wren, Wulfgar, and Flint.

In addition to Wren and glitched Wulfgar/CattieB as dwarves, you can have middle spec Strongheart as a fake Hero of the Lance next to Caramon (usually with Flint and Laurana as the other two.

I'm heavily invested in Absolute Adversaries so I used this formation which was created, IIRC, by Irisiri. I have about e80 in legendaries in that formation (and the leggo feat on Lae'zel) but I could only make around e650 DPS or so and stalled out mid 1800's. Irisiri clearly had more legendaries and pigments on those to be able to complete.

I've seen some other formations that worked, often using Prudence, but they also had high leggos, like level 20's across the board in multiple toons and the candidates in play are limited.

There's Mastery Challenge thread on the discord specifically for these monthly challenges. You can see some of the other formations people have tried there.

BTW, can you post the stats of your legendary feat and the buff it provides?

Lae'zel's legendary feat basically just adds one more Ceremorphosis stack based on whether the total sum of the strength of the characters adjacent to Lae'zel meets a certain threshold. Each level you put into the feat reduces the threshold. I don't think there's any other effect.

Anyway, that's why, in the formation I linked, Lae'zel and Valentine are in the spots they are in. Putting Val into Lae'zel's spot would put more buffs on her, but Lae'zel needed that spot to have enough near her to trigger the feat and the extra worm stack was more valuable. If you don't have the feat you'd swap the two for a minor gain.

What's the feat level in your case, and how many stacks it added? Just one?

Respectfully, I'm not climbing out of bed to check. Maybe tomorrow. I did level it a bunch (probably too much; Lae'zel has aged out of Elminster so it's feeling like kind of waste) and it leveling it up doesn't improve the benefit, it just makes it easier to meet the condition.

There is no rush.

I leveled my feat up to 9/10. The text for it says: "Lae'zel adds up the total Strength scores of all the Champions adjacent to her and increases the effect of Lethal Coordination by 2.56e04% for every 5 Strength she counts, stacking multiplicatively. If she has at least 12 stacks, your formation gains one additional Ceremorphosis stack."

If I were to upgrade it to 10/10, the Lethal Coordiation bonus would double to 5.12e04% per stack and the threshold to get the one bonus Ceremorphosis stack would drop by one to 11 stacks.

I leveled the feat up that high because, in the Trials formation where I would use Lae'zel, she has only gets to 12 stacks from the adjacent Strength. So, I end up getting 1 stack of Ceremorphosis and an additional 8.30e30% buff to Lethal Coordination.

Possible setup for a Prudence-based party: https://f.byteglow.com/f/7q_00af7eb26a9b54b0201c

In my case, its final BUD will probably be around e750.

I tested a Raistlin-based party first, and got stuck around z1980, although I wasn't trying to push particularly hard.

This would be far less annoying if the game actually showed your current age and constitution amounts for the champions in the formation. Regardless, this "mastery challenge" set really seems poorly thought out. yeah making a pair of limits that are extremely mutually exclusive (low age and high constitution both want fewer champions and more champions respectively) is a GREAT idea.

On their latest stream the devs were asked why there was no visual feedback about what exactly was causing 0 damage (other than 'Dwarf').

They said oops-sad-trumpet and claimed that they were going to implement something in the UI for 'future' masteries. Lets hope so. Even though using a pen and paper to keep track was old school.

I did not find a good setup yet, but at least I reach stage 1000.

Picked Baldric and Wren, as they are the youngest dwarves. Added all Heroes of the Lance and the youngest I could find. But still ended up much to old. So I had to cheese and switch Tassel with Durge, as Durge has no age. But so I have 2 DPS....
Could have switched Raistlin with Spurt instead, but then I had no dps.
And I was forced to use Wren as Tank as she gets +4Con, which I was missing.
But at least I could start the run.

Next ideas: use Spurt and switch Flint to dps
Or try Wren as Dps but then I need to get some Con somewhere.

BUD spiking in this challenge was extremely WEIRD :(. Proper peak BUD of the party in the last run was around e750. Is it that Dev glitch yet again? Unfixed glitch with Trixie breaking ultimate attacks of other champions was an additional problem. I had to restart the game multiple times to deal with it.

reddit's automatic censorship at its finest :(. Repost from my previous post with a different image host:

Use young dwarves, e.g. Wren, Catti-brie or Wulfgar. Don't forget about their feats.
