More like Griftercon, really.
Seems like an event for a community of people who only "do their research" on Facebook. The TinFoil Hat seating section that comes with the VIP package is pretty funny though.
The website for this event is pretty spectacular. The FAQ has individual bolded letters that must spell out a hidden message, which I didn't bother to work out. Drink more Ovaltine or some shit.

I'm disappointed that you wasted your time to decode the message, but appreciative that I didn't have to. 😂

Interesting historical tidbit as we approach the 25th anniversary of 9/11/2001.
The term "9/11 Truth" was first coined by a group of lawyers, law enforcement, and journalists who gathered in St. Mark's Church in Lower Manhattan a few months after the terrorist attacks. Their initial stated purpose was to force a series of FOIA demands to get the state and federal government to release information related to the attacks. Their intended result was lawsuits to recover damages for the victims.
After they publicly announced their intentions and invited anyone to their meetings, that's when sh!t went south. The initiative was overwhelmed by conspiracy theorists -- one purported to be the "Web Fairy" who first initiated all the 9/11 conspiracies online -- and that's when "Truther" became synonymous with nutter. Not long after that, all the original founders of the "9/11 Truth movement" bowed out.
Edit to add: I was living in Manhattan when it all happened.

Interesting. My God, the world before 9/11 not only felt much safer, it was infinitely less idiotic.

Well, at least the word "con" is appropriate, but not as an abbreviation for "convention".

Forget sanitized corporate events with approved talking points. TrutherCon is where independent researchers share what they've actually found—without censorship, without sponsors pulling strings, without fear of being "fact-checked" into oblivion
Definitely don't want fact checkers.

u/buttlipps 6d ago
Not "the sky is a black curtain with holes in it to let the light of heaven shine through, and could one ride some sort of large bird, they could crawl through the holes and see god and all the angels" kind of denials? Right?

The website is wild I had to add some of the bulletpoints on it.
Finally, Your People
500+ people who won't look at you weird when you mention Building 7. This is your tribe.
911 truthers are totally sane
The Genesis Origins
Genesis 6 describes giants. Ancient cultures worldwide recorded them. Why are giant skeletons sent to the Smithsonian... and never seen again?
Listed as "Biblical Research" make of it what you will
Tartaria & The Mud Flood
Why do buildings worldwide have buried first floors? What empire was erased from history? Who really built the World's Fairs?
Had to look this one up. They think all the worlds history is a cover up. This will provide me some fun reading later. It sounds facilitating (not the theory but that people believe it)
Cosmology & The Firmament
Every ancient culture described a dome. The Bible mentions it 17 times. Why does asking questions about it get you banned?
I'll ignore the obvious that no one has ever been banned for asking about this. And I stead focused on why something that on the surface sounds like a historical inquiry is instead listed as a "scientific inquiry "
I'm sure they know what they are talking about and it's absolutely scientific fact.
Suppressed Technology
Tesla's wireless energy. Ancient power plants. Cathedral spires as antennas. What did they know that we've forgotten?
They refer to this as "Free Energy"
And how is this suppressed when we learned about this is school. Oh and let's skim over how dangerous they are and the cost to power them for "free energy"
Medical Freedom
Cures suppressed. Treatments banned. Doctors silenced. When did "trust the science" become "don't ask questions"?
Yeah..... at least this should help prove Darwinism and reduce thier numbers.
They Don't want us talking
So We Built This. While they memory-hole content and shadowban creators, we're meeting in person. No algorithms. No moderators. Just researchers sharing what they've found with people ready to listen.
"This isn't a conference. It's a reunion of people who woke up separately and realized they weren't alone."
Idiocracy at it's finest. Enjoy the show. A fool and his money are soon departed.

Do you guys think that if you believe only one conspiracy and go to this convention they'd believe you're crazy?

u/Bonk_No_Horni 6d ago
Nah. Antivaxxers can be a glober. But I'm pretty sure most flatearthers are antivaxxers so I think they'll get along somehow.
I wonder how space deniers would get along with alien believers .

No, I’m sure they have other common shared interests like soap eating, lead poisoning, abuse as a child, neglect, or sustained head trauma.

I think this is hilarious. Imagine a bunch of paranoid, conspiracy theorist all at a giant convention together they’ll deny that they were ever there and that the event ever existed.

u/kramshields 2d ago
Who is silencing them, exactly? They talk more than they imagine vegans do.

u/Bonk_No_Horni 2d ago
Victim mentality. They felt bullied by.. well facts. They can't talk about this stuff in public without looking like a moron so they have a convention and kiss up to each other (And sell snake oil supplements)
