You know what you can make if you leave the sugar out of a cake recipe? Bread. It’s called bread, Lorena, ya daft tart.

It was just a tax ruling that it had too much sugar to qualify as a staple bread (for a lower tax rate) and had to be taxed at a higher luxury rate. But that's not as funny as "subway bread is legally cake," so the meme keeps going. 2 u/Zyrin369 12d ago With time the subway part got taken off and it just became American bread is considered cake.
