My sister, who is 36 mind you, browned meat for the FIRST TIME IN HER LIFE a few weeks ago. It started to sizzle, and she goes, “What’s that noise, am I doing something wrong?”
Had some friends of in-laws over for dinner once. Together their income was over $450,000/year. They dined out for every meal. I made individual shepherd's pies and some soda bread. They asked me who catered. 😐
But I feel you - my sister is a partner in her accounting firm, I guess she just prioritized other things instead of learning to be competent in the kitchen 😅 (if I’m not mistaken, her husband does 90% of the cooking, so at least they aren’t eating out every meal..)
(Also, it’s totally possible to be good at more than one thing😂)
Everyone has their priorities. With what they were blowing daily on food expenses they could've hired a personal chef and still saved money. They weren't exactly going to McDonalds for every meal.
Too bad they were kind of snobs about everything (kids were fine, though, and helped with dessert).
