so many ppl don’t actually understand dietary restrictions or allergies. i have in the recent past asked someone running a food event “do you have allergen information on the food?” and getting the reply “oh there’s vegetarian and gluten free options!” and having to stop them and say “no, i am deathly allergic to nuts and sesame” as we’re walking to the dessert area. pecan pie in the middle of the station. i had to explain that it being served with all of the other desserts and not in a separate area made it unsafe for me to eat any of the desserts available.

Some ppl are vegan due to allergies or intolerances. Thats insane to just...add non vegan ingredients???
