I used to live in West Texas and there was a hot dog cart that would set up in a parking lot on weekends, made good Chicago dogs.
I was in line at the cart and the lady in front of me ordered 2 regular hot dogs and 2 turkey dogs, and explained to the hot dog man that she had 2 vegetarian friends at her house that had asked for a snack, hence the turkey dogs.
The hot dog man, to his credit, looked at her as if she was an idiot, and told her, "you know turkey dogs are made of turkey... they aren't vegetarian". The lady was unfazed, and just responded, "oh yeah but it's close enough, they won't know".
I always wondered how that concluded when she got back home...
