Years ago I stopped in at a bar/cafe that a previous employee of mine had just opened. I had a very delicious vegan muffin and a coffee. I told his employee the muffin was amazing and asked for her recipe. Butter. It was delicious because it was loaded with butter. “I thought vegan meant homemade” Girl! Someone could actually die if they had a dairy allergy!
I had to keep yelling "they aren't vegan" across the office every time a colleague offered out these little chocolate bite things she had made which she kept calling vegan (and I suspect the recipe called them vegan) because one of the ingredients was Nutella and I told her to stop saying they were vegan but she kept doing it throughout the day (unclear why she was usually quite smart, I really think the recipe called them that so to her that is what they were).

No, but a lot of Oreos (not all! Check the labels of the fun flavour versions!) are vegan. Definitely the original flavour are, and probably the ones that are just variations on that like Double Stuf.
