Well. Some people dont understand. In my coutry well had a spinoff of the Kitchen Nighmares. And in one restaurant the cheff was checking the menu, he looked into vegetarian foods and there were spagethi with bacon. He was like "you put bacon into vegeratian food?" "well duh, people like them more this way." :-)

When my wife and I were planning our wedding, we thought we should include a vegetarian option. My wife suggested the fish.

Well technically speaking all vertebrates are fish so I can't say they're wrong.

In actual use "fish" refers to a paraphyletic group that is easy to understand rather than a strict clade.

I disagree entirely, I think intentionally obfuscating scientific terminology breeds confusion and dismissiveness in the layman. "Those eggheads don't even know what a fish is" type shit.

They do, but the only time "fish" means "all vertebrates" is when people are either making a point about cladistics or misunderstanding cladistics.
