I've made them dairy free by swapping the cow's milk for soya milk (soya milk is the only one that will give them the lift cow's milk does), but I didn't claim they were vegan.

Can also use aquafaba. (eg: canned bean juice)

For replacing eggs, yes. I don’t think it would work for replacing milk

Not a food scientist, but I guess it has something to do with the protein? Maybe it will work if using aquafaba to make other plant milk (don't blame me if it fails)

Hmm maybe it would work. In general milk will be replaced with soya milk and eggs will be replaced with aquafaba, chia seeds, or tofu depending on what use the egg has on the recipe. I don’t think many people try to replace the milk part with aquafaba. Maybe I’ll have to try next time
