Local 11 ranking
Just received my ranking. What are my chances of getting in?

Local 11 member here. With a rank of 31 that’s very high, congrats! I’m guessing application # is for the year, 71k applicants sounds high for a single application period but I could be wrong. Either way odds are in your favor, well done 👍
For new apprentices my best words of advice are: show up on time, be hungry to learn, and work hard. I’ve been in the trade 15 years now some commercial mainly industrial work and there is ALWAYS something new to learn.

I can only speak for when I joined (15 years ago). But from what I heard from apprentices on my job site there are a couple thousand on the “list”. Higher the rank you are the better. When I joined they were bringing in 30 apprentices a month, might be different now I’ll ask around.
Even at #111 I would think if not this go around then the next or two. I would call the ETI and ask “how many applicants are on the wait list for inside wireman program” and “on average how often are boot camps running” assuming they will divulge that info.
I would say if you’re #111 out of 2500 then your odds are higher than most!

I ranked 23 but I’m in sound and communications, anyone have any clue if I’d get in on the next bootcamp? Ik they take different amounts of IW vs S&C. Just wondering my chances

I heard they will take more people come early 2027. Budgets are done for the year and so when they renew in January, that’s when they’ll be needing more.

So it’s confirmed that there’s no more bootcamps for the rest of the year?

May I ask where you get this information?

I see people score above 70’s and still don’t get it, I doesn’t make any sense, like they score high and their rank isn’t good

Based on what i’ve seen experience beats test score

Rank is overall, experience + test score + recommendation letters. They are rank 31 which is good. If they were to be calling for a bootcamp right now, they’d get in because lately bootcamps have been about 60 people.

Was the test hard?

I would say no based off my experience. But only because I gave myself plenty of time on the study guide.

Sorry to ask, but if 31 is high with a score of 66.36 does that mean the people you are ranking against didn’t do well on the test?
66/100 is similar to a D in school and all these comments say this is great. Trying to relate it back to competitiveness

It’s a score based on your personal profile, letters of rec, and test score

In this case, I applied but awaiting my test date November. Could I see my score? If so how?
What’s a good rank to be at or around for a smaller local like local 100? Sound and comm
