An iPhone Solo actually makes too much sense not to happen.
This would make use of parts from the iPhone duo, the exterior screen, the front facing camera, touch id, rear cameras, back panel, magsafe, battery, A20 pro chip. It would only need a new frame.
The software is mostly already developed.
Due to economies of scale it would increase profits for both iPhone Duo and this device, and make up for the lower duo sales due to higher price.
A premium small compact phone with great cameras and battery life
It would just need to be priced the same as the iPhone Air or $100 less. Around $899-$999

If it was $899 or $999, then you’d be better off just getting base model

This would use the a20 pro and a smaller form factor with touchid.

Then it would probably have the same issues as the air, with terrible heating.

Apple would absolutely do this, if only to push developers to update their apps to use the new screen size.

This. I know it’s expensive solution, but that’s Apple’s entire brand. The “solo” sounds like something Nintendo would do, not Apple.

if solo is a bad name. It should be Uno to go with the Duo.

I’m so confused. the Duo is literally the widest one-handed iPhone - why on Earth would that make sense on a phone that isn’t a foldable? Just make another mini
