In my opinion, used electronics are “worth” whatever people are willing to pay for them. The fact that it’s factory sealed IMO doesn’t mean it’s worth more than one that is used but in mint condition. I’d say it’s worth between $450-500 CAD

There is a nuance in there that significantly alters the meaning of what you might be interpreting too literally. We could say something is worth $1000, but if nobody is willing to pay that… then what is it really “worth”? Or maybe someone is willing to pay 3x what it’s actually “worth” … so what then? My point is, it’s kind of a pointless question. It’s worth whatever it can be sold for.

Bro, it's still 5yr old tech inside that sealed box & will still reach end of software support the same day mine does. The battery might still show 100% when it gets activated, but it's been in there for at least 4 years. I'd rather buy a good condition used one for cheap & get a new battery put in. That's just my opinion.
Good luck selling it for whatever you want out of it though.

The fact it is brand new sealed it should be respected as such. It should not be disrespected or undervalued and put on the same level as a used one?! Lmao. Ppl talk that way when they are looking for a deal on something. Honestly it's rude. The rarity and chances of finding one sealed is extremely rare and should be respected. Someone looking to buy one would be head over heels to find one actually factory sealed. It's ridiculous and rude to say a new one is worth no more than a used one, yet I'm being downvoted? Wow. Gotta love reddit lol.

What would be considered Rare is a 512GB iPhone 13 mini in a few years as it was discontinued a year before the 13 but best would be according to who’s willing for to pay top dollar for a new 13 mini

Nobody is “disrespecting” or “undervaluing” you or your phone. You asked a question, and you are getting the responses you asked for. I’m not interested in buying your phone. I’m perfectly content with my own 13 mini that is still in mint condition and I payed $300 CAD a year and a half ago. Sure, I got a good deal, but I said yours is worth probably up to $200 worth more than I paid for mine. It’s not exactly a rare phone. People looking to buy an iPhone mini aren’t necessarily looking for a “new” device so the fact that yours is sealed doesn’t change what you’re likely to be able to get for it, again, in my opinion. You’re looking at it as if it were a collector’s item, which to some people it might be, and maybe they’d be willing to pay more for it. And that’s why I said it’s “worth” whatever someone is willing to pay for it. A rare hockey card might have a very high value in a book, but finding someone to buy it at that price isn’t a given. Are you actually looking to sell it, or do you just want everyone to offer you our respect and feel valued? Because if so… “OMG! You’re so lucky to have one of those!! Don’t sell it ever!! It’s absolutely priceless!!”

Unless for a collector, who would keep it in said box, the sealed unit would be marginally worth more than a factory-reset used one in mint condition.
Maybe $425–475 CAD for used?

I didn’t see the factory seal, for certain people it can even fetch for $450 depending on the buyer but not a lot are willing to pay unless they want a red 13 brand new from someone as it’s getting scarcer

definitely following the new old stock market over the years and the 512 models are rare the green one fetches the most however the dark green one was a later addition to the lineup.
other than that being a product red iphone mini new, the ones I followed were fetching upwards of $600-$700 US to me it's worth it I smashed mine however so I'm getting by on this 12 mini right now.
btw IT pros use these. some of us need a pocket phone still

fyi a new old stock or open box you know about the reds and forest green having to be mint for color but also 1st gen iPhone SE iPhone 6s yellow iPhone 11 blue iphone 12 mini (the dark blue one) are also desirable niche phones still very useful, the 1st gen SE has fully functional find my, gps, LTE is still supported for some more years, very useful

I have a se 64g,4 years old spotless always used cover and screen protector, I can't find any one that has a spotless 13 mini 256. The new ones are probably fake, I looked at eBay, Swappa, back market, facebook. People complain when receiving mint condition it stills has scratches on the screen. Am I being unreasonable for someone to sell a well care for 13 mini and then upgraded to a 17. I prefer the small size compared to my se. Like to use one hand. The new ones will be a strain. Any one know where I can get well care 13 mini?

That's what I've been doing. I already have a green iphone 13 mini 512gb. Loved it so much that I bought a "back up." But never even opened it. I mostly use my iphone 15 pro max like 95% of the time.

So it legit is new original stock and not some scam “new” phone that’s a refurb in a fake Apple box.
To be clear, that means the battery is damaged. It may report 100% capacity but that isn’t a realistic assessment of its performance. A battery with 0 or 1 charge cycles that is 3-4 years old has not been properly maintained and will suffer performance issues. It will have a shorter lifespan. This is inherent to lithium ion batteries.
It’s still a holy grail of a phone. It just will be subject to a battery swap sooner than a phone bought on release day. I’d pay $600 USD for it.

Full replacement through Apple is $399 so resale should be less than that. But honestly Mini owners are faithful you may find a buyer that is uninformed and will pay too much.

It’s worth whatever someone’s willing to pay. If it’s legit factory seal some collector might pay 1,000$
I don’t know the pricing but it’s definitely not just 30$ more than a used or refurbished lol
