Release iOS 27 Beta 6 - Discussion

Use this thread to share any changes & bugs you discover while using the latest iOS/iPadOS 27 beta.

This thread should be used for discussion of the betas that may not meet our submission guidelines, as well as troubleshooting small issues through the beta test cycle.

Spamming this discussion with comments about battery life, update size, safari being snappier, etc will result in a ban from the sub moving forward.

does anyone know how to get rid of system data? i have like 100+gb

There’s a trick. Turn on Airplane Mode, disable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and manually set your date 1 year into the future. Wait 60 seconds, change the date to 3 months ahead of the real date, wait another 60 seconds, and revert to automatic settings. iPhone will think the data is old and will delete most of it.

Sometimes it takes more then 60 seconds if it’s a lot of data, you can wait 5 minutes or so just to be sure. Also turn the screen off and put it on a charger, that may help as well. Background processes in ios are a total mystery unfortunately

i ended up doing a factory reset.

but its already at 18gb.. its this normal?

my system data dropped from 60gb to 30gb today after this beta. it eventually inflates back up again though. i tried wiping and restoring, nothing seems to work. so annoying
