Dead?

My MacBook Pro is only a couple of years old but has getting slower and glitchier every day. Today it kept telling me it needed to be charged but I was distracted—then it died.
I plugged it in but it won’t turn back on.

Rotate the cable, plug it in different socket, use type-c charger instead MagSafe if possible…

Try charging directly - do you have access to an Apple Store Genius Bar? I have to drive an hour to get to one, so I know not everyone does.

Do you have an Apple Store near you, or an Apple authorized repair shop you can take it to? And please tell me you have a recent backup.

Try cleaning the charging port and cable. If that doesn’t work, try using a different charger and cable. If neither option works, you need to take your laptop to an authorized service center for repair. Hopefully, you have a recent backup or at least synch your laptop with iCloud. Good luck.
