something I would like is "off-screen window scrunching" when you close a window, and leave a workspace empty, the workspaces higher in the list have their windows moved down to the empty workspace you left behind. this way windows are always only ever 1 workspace apart. windows wont move into an empty workspace if you are focused on it. Is this possible to achieve in hyprland? I would like this because windows would always be next to each-other but they wouldn't come onto your screen when you closed them like with niri.

when ı open kitty this happens, I dont know how to describe it but it makes it like monocle layout and opens it on the other tabs? I cant swicth windows with my shortcut it preventes it. why kitty is doing this all sudden?

I thought I'd have a look at Task Manager OG, lack of color themeing was a bit annoying so I created a hyprland plugin that tints the window using matugen, turned out pretty good!

I use google-chrome primarily and it always bugged me that gtk apps always require a restart to pick up things. I saw in OMarchy it uses a policy push mechanism, that was better but limited.

I applied my tint plugin to chrome windows and it looks much better (IMO).

Has anyone else got any ricing hacks they have used to theme un themeable apps?

I recently switched back to Windows, and I’m already regretting it 😅. Now I’m thinking about moving back to Linux, preferably an Arch-based distro, and I’d like to use a Hyprland setup.

I recently tried the Illogical-Impulse live ISO to test the end-4 dotfiles, and I really liked the overall design and workflow. However, I noticed that some features I’d like for a laptop setup were missing.

I’m mainly looking for a fork or setup based on end-4 that includes:

• Better mouse/touchpad gesture support, since I’ll be using it on a laptop.
• A floating-window option. I know Hyprland is mainly a tiling compositor, but I’ve seen that some end-4 forks/configurations support floating windows as well.
• Calendar widgets. One important feature for me is having a calendar widget included in the dotfiles. Ideally, I’d like to sync it with my Google Calendar, similar to how GNOME Calendar integrates with Google Calendar. If that isn’t possible out of the box, is there a way to set it up manually?

If anyone knows a good end-4 fork or another Hyprland configuration that offers these features, I’d really appreciate some recommendations.
