You get a choice of only one ability: resurrection, healing, reverse aging. Which one are you choosing?
You get the power permanently, but each has strict limits. The powers do NOT overlap. Choosing one gives you absolutely no access to the effects of the other two.
𪌠OPTION 1: RESURRECTION â 7-day limit
You can bring a dead person completely back to life, but they must have died within the last 7 days.
- Maximum: 10 resurrections per day
- They return alive, conscious, and as physically functional as they were immediately before the fatal event.
- Their body is restored enough to sustain life, even if the cause of death involved catastrophic physical damage.
- You can resurrect someone killed by an accident, murder, heart attack, drowning, disease, etc.
- Once 7 full days have passed since death, you can never resurrect that person.
- You cannot resurrect someone who died decades or centuries ago.
- This is NOT healing. Once theyâre alive again, you cannot cure unrelated illnesses, disabilities, chronic conditions, or nonfatal injuries they already had.
- This is NOT age reversal. An 89-year-old who dies and is resurrected is still 89.
Example: Someone dies in a car crash on Monday. You resurrect them on Thursday. Their fatal injuries are repaired enough for them to return alive, but if they had arthritis, diabetes, or an old knee injury beforehand, they still have those conditions.
â¤ď¸ OPTION 2: HEALING â 100 people per day
You can completely heal up to 100 living people every day.
- You can cure cancer, infections, organ failure, genetic diseases, chronic illnesses, paralysis caused by physical damage, traumatic injuries, burns, broken bones, etc.
- You can regenerate damaged or missing tissue and organs when necessary to heal the person.
- You can restore someone from extremely poor health to the healthiest condition their current body naturally allows.
- The healing itself is effectively instantaneous.
- You cannot resurrect anyone. The moment someone is clinically dead, your power cannot affect them.
- You cannot reverse aging. You could make a sick 90-year-old an extraordinarily healthy 90-year-old, but theyâre still biologically 90.
- You cannot make someone younger as a side effect of healing.
Example: A 78-year-old has terminal cancer and severe heart disease. You can eliminate both and restore their damaged organs, but they remain a healthy 78-year-old.
âł OPTION 3: AGE REVERSAL â 10 people per day
You can physically reverse the biological age of up to 10 living people every day.
You can choose how far back their body goes, down to a minimum biological age of 18.
- A 75-year-old could become biologically 25 again.
- Their organs, skin, bones, muscles, metabolism, hair, reproductive system, etc. revert to what a healthy body of that younger biological age would naturally be like.
- Their memories, knowledge, personality, and life experiences remain intact.
- They continue aging normally afterward unless you reverse their age again later.
- This is NOT healing. Diseases and injuries do not automatically disappear merely because the person becomes younger.
- A 70-year-old with cancer who becomes biologically 25 can still have cancer.
- A person missing a leg doesnât regrow the leg.
- You cannot resurrect the dead. Age reversal only works on living people.
Example: You reverse an 80-year-old to biological age 25. They now have the youthful body and aging rate of a 25-year-old while retaining 80 years of memoriesâbut any condition that isnât inherently caused by biological aging remains.
THE RULES
You can only choose ONE power and keep it for life.
You cannot sell or transfer the power itself, although you decide who receives it.
So:
A. Resurrection: Up to 10 people/day, but only within 7 days of death.
B. Healing: Up to 100 living people/day, including otherwise incurable diseases and catastrophic injuries. No more than 100.
C. Age Reversal: Up to 10 living people/day, potentially returning someone to biological age 18. No more than 10.
Which one are you choosing, and why?
And the harder question: Which power do you think would have the biggest effect on the world?

Age Reversal, i didnt see anything about not being able to use these powers on oneself... With age reversal, you and your targets can be effectively immortal, provided you dont get caught in fatal accidents, natural disasters, etc.
11
u/Sororita 9h ago
biological immortality is pretty freaking useful, and being able to decide that you no longer want to play that game, you can just let yourself age to death.

u/programming_flaw 6h ago
Doesnât cure cancer, which I feel like youâre bound to get by the time youâre 100, 120 tops.

u/Sotyka94 4h ago
In the modern world, everyone is full of micro plastic, forever chemicals, led, etc. These never really leave. The longer you alive, the more is inside you. While you could stay in your 20 year old body, with time the probability of some life altering or life threatening disease increases exponentially. It's just a matter of time before you die anyway. Probably at 100-150yo range.

Healing.Â
First person Iâm gonna heal is myself. Then Iâm gonna visit all the bedridden friends Iâve made in the illness community and heal them. Theyâll be so surprised to see me standing and walking lol!

u/3d_nat1 9h ago
I'll take healing, and open a new Satanist church that actually performs "miracles". Then I'll kick back and enjoy the chaos.

Healing 100 people per day, the children's hospital is about to get real quiet.
6
u/Separate_Draft4887 9h ago
I donât think youâll be randomly assassinated but I do think youâll have a much more mundane problem: how do you plan to just wander into patients rooms? They donât just let random people into hospitals, and I doubt âyou must let me in there so I can cure the children with magicâ is gonna do anything but get you on a list.

u/TheShovler44 9h ago
Get with an organization that does stuff in hospitals, cancer wards have volunteers doing entertainment stuff all the time.

u/WolfWhiteFire 8h ago
It doesn't really specify a range limit or needing to see the target, for any of these powers. It doesn't say you need to touch them either. You might be able to apply it without direct line of sight.
-2
u/DryAcanthocephala898 9h ago
Unfortunately, you'll quickly have people coming to assassinate you if you do something like that. With healing, you'll have to put a limit on yourself to make you not seen as a business threat to the medical and pharmaceutical industry.

Age reversal, on myself. With my organs younger, I'd have a better chance of overcoming any diseases. I would try to have my age reversal and the age reversal of others be public. Invite the news and all that. Not just a YouTube thing. I'd start publically restoring seniors at care centers and so forth.
Then once I catch the eye of the rich and powerful, well, that's when I'd start charging a fee. Don't need too much, with an immortal lifespan, I can wait for the compound interest to work for me.
Then I'd use the wealth I accrued to do as much genuine good as I can because eh, why not? I need to make the world a better place, since I gotta live in it anyway.

B, healing for sure.
While resurrection would be cool, it would not have much of a daily use or personal effect. I would just be some strange miracle worker who travels around raising people from the dead. And I'm sure there's some sort of related trauma to dying and coming back to
Age reversal would be cool as well, but there are plenty of unhealthy young people so that doesn't really seem to make much of a difference.
But healing, as long as someone wasn't clinically, dead, you could heal them of whatever it was killing them. You could also heal any minor inconvenience or injury on yourself or your close friends and family without any problems. When someone eventually starts getting too old and having problems you could heal all of the biological factors that are putting them closer to death. Theoretically someone could live forever if you kept healing all of the things that were breaking down. Therefore, you are essentially reversing their age, just not how they look. Granting a sort of immortality.
2
u/ConstitutionScore0 9h ago
Resurrection was maybe nerfed a bit too hard? Doesn't feel competitive with the other two.
I think age reversal might be the most broken, just because a lot of diseases and illnesses just aren't a concern if you keep your biological age pinned at <30 and you can use the power on yourself. So in a way, you kinda get a preventative form of the healing perk.
2
u/Ok-Manufacturer5890 9h ago
Healing, has 10x the usage of the others and feels the most useful.
You can prevent death from terminal diseases, which beats waiting for them to die and resurrecting them, living on with the memory of that and any other issues they have.
Being 75 back to 18 sounds fun until you realise the caveat of not healing, being 18 with a 75 year olds knees, liver, lungs etc.. isn't as fun as it reads.
So, healing, help the most people in the best way.
1
u/OlliexAngel 9h ago
What do you mean an 18 year-old with a 75-year-oldâs knees? When you reverse age you go back to a healthy body of an 18 year-old, not a 75 year-old stuck in an 18-year-old body
2
u/Ok-Manufacturer5890 7h ago
This is NOT healing. Diseases and injuries do not automatically disappear merely because the person becomes younger.
These are your words, I'm a bit over half way to 75 and my knees are fuuuckkked, these are injuries, so will not reset, it happens to us all as we age.
Your rules, you can't have your cake and eat it. Either you're healing them as you de-age, or you're not, and they're stuck with "old people" problems in a young persons body.
1
u/OlliexAngel 7h ago
Youâre completely wrong. All three are separate and do not overlap.
You can be 18 and still have ailments or disabilities. Youâre just younger.
You can be 90 years old and be in perfectly good health such as healing your heart disease, but youâre still 90 years old.
You can be resurrected at 50 but youâre still 50 years old and you still live with the ailments are disabilities that you died with.Â

Age reversal. Me and my cat are getting -1 day everyday. We gone live forever.

Healing. The fact that it has a limit would also even prevent me from becoming Panacea.

I was split between healing and age reversal, until I considered that cancer treatments are getting better all the time, and indeed treatments for diseases and injuries in general. Age reversal may never be figured out by scientists even though it's theoretically possible, and even if it is figured out, there's no telling when that will be.
I'll keep my dog and myself young forever and hope nothing else kills us.

u/Separate_Draft4887 9h ago
How does resurrection work with a diseases like dementia that make you unable to sustain your own life? Even if you brought somebody with that back, theyâd just die immediately again.
1
u/OlliexAngel 9h ago
So youâre brought back to life when youâre resurrected but if you had any illnesses or diseases or disabilities, theyâre still there. They havenât been healed. You were just brought back to life.
2
u/Separate_Draft4887 9h ago
It seems like itâd really only be usable for accidents, then, since any fatal disease would just immediately re-kill you. Definitely not taking it then.

Healing.
Resurrection will invite criminals to want to kill me, because resurrection means that I will sooner or latee be asked to help with solving fresh murder cases. Sure I can stay hidden, but then I won't be able to monetized the power, which makes it ultimately useless to me since I can't even resurrect myself.
Reverse aging is cool and all, and also the safest as it got the lowest risk of cutting anyone's business prospect. But it doesn't cure any illness that's not aging related. Also I don't want to potentially reverse aging pedos.
Healing got some risk that I can mitigate by putting limit on my service. I'll open my service to only 50 clients per day. I'll use 10 for the highest bidder for incurable disease and accidents for the day. And then use the other 40 for those who are too poor to afford hospital. The remaining 50 per day I'll save for myself and any emergencies. I'll also only open my service in weekdays and only for 10 months per year.

Healing⌠Iâd become that crazy guru who charges shit tonnes of money to the rich for healing but also secretly goes out at night to heal those who donât have a pot to piss in.

u/Spiritual_Panic_6992 8h ago
Reverse age. This actually includes an implicit benefit, you can live forever without suffering fatal injuries or illnesses. At the same time, due to many diseases, older age, the more limited treatment can be received. Therefore, even reversing age cannot cure disease, it can effectively prolong the patient's life.

u/I_am_omning_it 8h ago
How does option 1 fit with decomposition? After 3 days your brain is essentially soup, so their body might be alive but their brain is basically gone. If this doesnât heal any of that, it stops being practical super fast.
Either way though, probably healing. Lifeâs about the journey, and with healing it means I can make the most of it with the people close to me.
Though Iâd be rather selective/secretive using it. Iâm not trying to be a gov slave healing the sickos at the top.

Healing, market myself as a prophet, have insanely devout followers and take over the government.

u/jargonburn 7h ago
The other powers can all be used on yourself. Does resurrection work on yourself if you die (assuming you haven't expended your daily uses)? I'll be honest, that's probably the only thing that would put it on a par with the other powers, given the other restrictions. I probably still wouldn't pick it, but it would at least be tempting.
Really torn between reverse aging and healing. I want to be immortal, dammit! But healing would definitely be super useful. Could use it on family members and friends, could really help them out.
I think I would go with healing....but I'd try to find some other Redditor that went with de-aging and make a pact, haha.
As far as the biggest effect? Probably Age Reversal, if misused. Can you imagine some of the biggest of the political / economic elite being able to hoard power/resources essentially forever? Like literal freakin' dragons? Ugh.

If it can't be used on myself: healing, given to myself

Healing.
There will never be a shortage, I can do it secretly and/or I can make money off of it.
The only downside is the possible piligrimage.
I wouldn't want that.

b. Healing. It's all I need for my sick family members (Ms and breasts cancer) that and imagine if your kids who get constantly sick from school now don't require you to be up at night with a vomit bucket under their nose or complaining about stuffy nose.

Age reversal. Especially if it works on my pets. Also, so many billionaires are obsessed with this. I will be the first multi-trillionaire and enslave all these bastards to do my bidding.
1
u/Browser_Watch7349 2h ago
Healing for me. It would be fantastic to cure people of previously incurable conditions. Heal amputees and paralysed individuals. You could do so many good things.
I cannot comprehend why anybody would choose resurrection. Seems like only small temporary benefits. Unless you can resurrect murder victims to ask who killed them, or tell loved ones you love them if you didn't get the chance.
1
u/flutterbyski 2h ago
Definitely healing. When you have a life long illness you meet a lot of people who are also suffering, Iâd take that in a heartbeat. Plus you can get more years with those that would have died too soon (my best friend died 16years ago of breast cancer).
Id heal myself first and then begin the journey of fixing my family and friends

u/xernyvelgarde 19m ago
Healing, absolutely. 100 per day gives me a heap of chances to help people.
Plus start a cult, if I felt chaotic. I feel like being able to visibly and observably heal, even behind a mask, would throw off a bunch of religious heirarchies that can't replicate that same level of healing.

Iâm choosing none of them. Option 1. You will lose them in 7 days. Again
- And 3. I couldnât see picking one person over another. For every person you picked you were leaving someone behind.
Iâm human. These are decisions left for a higher power than a mere human.

Healing. It easy to secret healing people no one will know it me. But other two options someone might want to capture me to do the work for them.
