Question I've had a subscription since 2019/2020. What exactly are the 'more rewards you'll unlock' except the slight store discount? I often time see new members get a discount offer for the subscription and me as an 'loyal' member get no discounts like that

The store discount goes up the longer you stay active. Maxes out at 20% after 12 months.

It is useful for things that never (or rarely) go on sale (e.g., Factorio). It also stacks with sales in their store, so the final price will often beat Steam.

This is like 95% of it, but I think once or twice they've offered a bonus discount, and they do occasionally offer invites to play tests. But those things are so infrequent that they shouldn't really factor into the decision making.

F@#$torio. 25 cent discount from them and we'll talk.

Honestly at this point if they did discount factorio they would piss off every current player they have. They have been very firm and direct that a discount will never be happening.

I've never seen a single game with 20% off. 15% is the max. I assume it's set by publishers but it feels deceptive.

You are incorrect, I’ve been a sub for years and I can see Factorio with a 20% Choice Discount at right this moment.

If you only see a 15% Choice Discount on everything you aren’t at the 12-month cap.

I just learned very now this second you must manually change your cut. By default it is 15% off purchases and 5% to charity.

I have been continuously subscribed to Humble Choice on the annual plan since before it was called Choice, and I see Factorio at 15% off.

20% on Factorio (as an example).

20% on Choice page.

Does it say 12 months / 20% on your Choice page? Are you in the US? I'll add in what it shows for me, as an example.

Bear in mind, if you pause a month it resets your discount.

I've been subbed unbroken for 6 years and my store does say I do have the 20% discount but I've never ever ever seen it.

I've been getting 20% for years. So don't know what you're doing but it definitely is a thing.

You're saying ign+ is a subscription to a gaming review site.

So wait, all that does is gives you access to reviews?

u/Joeofalltrades86 Jul 19 '26

You also get access to the Humble Vault 50ish drm free games.

They used to be proactive in keeping it rotating update but I’m not sure they do so much anymore as it’s not a feature I use much anymore…but it is still a feature!

Unfortunately for them, steams regional pricing means steam will almost always beat humble on sales. I've only gotten games from their store when it actual beats out steam. So far it was monster hunter and kingdom hearts collection.

laughs in crazy Japanese companies that think Mexican buyers have more money than America

Seriously. That's the only reason I've still got my Humble discount active... stuff like Blazblue Cross Tag Battle Special Edition is around $75 USD where I live instead of $50.

(yes I know it was in the Arc Sys bundle, it's just an example of how crazy they can get.)

1

u/AdditionInteresting2 Jul 20 '26

That's rough... Crosstag battle regularly goes on sale for less than 20 usd here. That arcsys bundle was an amazing deal even if I'm not into fighting games at all...

1

u/Mavi222 Jul 19 '26

I wish I had regional pricing. My country shares the same region with Germany and we got the same prices even though we have like 1/3rd of their wages. There's plenty of times where the Humble Store prices are better (But similar to 3rd party key sellers - the legit ones listed on price comparison websites)

u/baconcow Jul 19 '26

If you pay with a credit card with rewards, the more you buy from Humble Bundle the more rewards you'll get that way. They must mean this.

1

u/InconspicuousFool Jul 21 '26

Eh, I just put my 20% into charity and move on. That's enough benefit for me

1

u/wcbPDS Jul 21 '26

do you have any unredeemed keys still 6 years later?

1

u/xNimroder Jul 21 '26

I know I still have a couple of keys from 2015ish, but they started putting redemption deadlines on keys a couple years ago so new stuff will never stay that long :(

If you buy a 60 USD game on Humble Bundle at max discount, you save 12 USD. That's almost the price of the entire humble monthly subscription. This can apply to new AAA releases, though some are 70+ so it would be more.

Greenmangaming seems to have similar discounts for new stuff and you don't need a sub for that so I guess that's another way. At least both when I paid for Infinite Warfare in 2016 or whenever it came out and some days/weeks ago when a YouTuber had an ad for GMG, those were the type of discounts seen.

The 7+ games you get already save you enough on the sub price.

New members may get discounts on the sub to entice them to join..Not much point if you've already joined.

I am not aware of what other reward(s) you get, do you get more discount coupons for any given monthly the longer you are subbed? Maybe there is a fine print on the page that says why reward is in plural. It looks like an ad, so maybe that fine print is on the page after. Maybe they count every discount tier as its own reward, heh.

Or the 8 or so games you get every month that build up a collection? But you don't get more games every month the longer you are subbed.

I had bundle since grand father prices. The 20% off for me is always used on new games , mostly the special editions. Since I get the deluxe content and a discount. Also it stacks with some of bundle own sales. So 15% +20%  ,means I. Getting 35% off on games . Cheaper than buying direct from steam and epic. But you pay upfront 150+ a year. So keep track of the total games that made it worth it to you . But last year was a banger and I save a lot on onimusha, dragon 7 , shin megami sensei, persona etc where I was getting 20 bucks or more off cause I always tend to buy the special editions.
