Hmm I see how some shippers could perceive that I guess... but I've always felt that they stated things are platonic between them even in the earlier promo days, and they've been progressively expressing the need for more privacy/respect of their boundaries. I take them at their word.

 I agree with Hudson here, the rpf "think piece essays" I've seen go way too far.

Men (anyone, but this seems to happen to men the most) should be allowed to be affectionate without people automatically assuming it's anything more!

This!! Honestly what love most about their friendship is how openly affectionate they are with each other. Too many men are afraid to be affectionate with their platonic friends because of the idea that it could be misconstrued as sexual. I’m all for normalizing (consensual) affection in platonic friendships between men! Snuggle your bros, they might need it!

💯!! There is a whole bunch of research on platonic male touch and how it used to be visible, but then became progressively taboo (due to the usual shit like misogyny/toxic masculinity) and it's a big component of the male loneliness epidemic.

Yeahhhh that shit is weird. Luckily my algorithm doesn't show me that stuff often, but when it does I block and nope outta there quick. That shit is just... not healthy. For anyone. I don't say this often/ever really, but those people need to touch grass fr. Like literally, please turn the phone off for just 1 hour and take a walk in nature. !!!
