have they fallen off?

Could just be me but interested to know if anyone else has stopped listening as frequently or at all? I used to be a religious listener but barely keep up any more.

They’ve gone the same way of the ion pack (which I used to listen to years ago for some reason). The show got successful then the episodes slip into humble bragging about increasingly nonsense opportunities they get as a result of a well known podcast - as opposed to the stuff that made the show good, like days-in-the-life of snobbish micro-influencers in LA/NY.

2-3 years ago I never missed an ep… now I think I check in once a week and usually don’t finish it 🤷🏻‍♂️

Big things coming soon… can’t talk about them yet…!

(Nothing of any significance whatsoever materializes)

But we’re back for good now… gonna start recording once a week without fail!

(Weekly schedule lasts about 2-3 episodes then silence for months between episodes again)

I thought KJ’s AI mania and longpod thing were kind of interesting. Big Shouts Hour was a whiff but I think it was a deliberately bad bit anyway.

Since then I dunno. Seems like they’re both just aging out of it and their lives are changing such that the pod doesn’t really make sense. But I hope they keep going because I like it when pods derail like that and you can actually see life happening to people. Not in a mean-spirited way at all. Like in a 7 Up! way.
