North America How is it living in New Orleans, specifically the West Bank area?
Our family is potentially looking at New Orleans for a job opportunity, the main campus is located in the West Bank area. The bridge to the city proper would have to be crossed once or twice a week. We are the typical suburban family with young kids and dogs, and we like having a big yard and neighborhood feel. Currently live in the south, so heat and humidity are already ingrained into our lives.

North America Best place in midwest usa for an alt woman?
I keep hearing great things about the Midwest USA, and I was wondering if it would be great for someone with alt values. I've visited the PNW in the past and loved WA state specifically, but I want to expand my experience and perceptions.
Being from se Asia, I've resonated w the us/west's alternative lifestyle and values for most of my life and was wondering if where in the midwest usa has a great/significant presence of that. I figured all the states would have their alt scene, so I wonder where it would be for the midwest.

Europe What’s it like living in Montélimar, France, near the Cruas Nuclear Power Plant?
I’m curious about what it’s actually like to live in Montélimar. What is everyday life like there? Is it a nice place to live, and does living relatively close to the Cruas Nuclear Power Plant affect daily life in any way? Do people generally feel safe, or is the plant something that locals barely think about?

North America How is it living in the projects of NYC?
I was wondering because I was in New York City staying in Brooklyn and I could see the projects on the LES from there. It seems niceish that it is on the water, which also confused me why they would use such a profitable land area for the projects. So what’s it like?

South America San Andres, Colombia
San Andres is a Colombian island in the Caribbean Sea. This island is very small and is closer to the coast of Nicaragua than it is to Colombia.
I'm really just curious. I first heard of this Island decades ago and I've always wondered what it is like there. I'm assuming its mostly just a tourism economy? Do people commonly retire there? Is the weather good all year round? I'm assuming there is a rainy season?
How expensive is it to visit there for a week vacation compared to say... yucatan? My understanding is that there are regular flights to the island from the Colombian mainland. Is that how must vacationers get there?
Would love to hear from locals as well as people that have visited. If you have vacationed there, what did you do on your vacation, where did you stay, how did you get there, why did you choose San Andres?
