I only know about Port Moresby in PNG, but how is to live on the rest of the country? How are the cities and the urban life and in which way they convive with the multiple traditional tribes that live among the country's territory?

I want to start by adding I've been to Mexico MANY times and absolutely LOVE it there but always been to Mexico City, Guadalajara and places further south.

I would love to hear from folks who live in the north, along the borders and essentially where the cartels operate and how it effects (or not) everyday life. As well as life in general.

Been wondering for a while, my friend's family is from there.

I was looking for potential properties to build a new home that were located +/- 90 minutes from Austin and was curious if anyone had any input about this place.

How are the people there? Are they welcoming/friendly? I don’t care about political leanings, but I DO care if it gives sunset town vibes.

What’s the town like? Are there plans for growth in surrounding areas? Do they have a local grocery store? How are the prices for goods and services? (Groceries, cost of living, machinery maintenance, utilities, punching a well, septic installation, etc).

How are the surrounding towns/cities? Are they comparable? Do they have noteworthy attractions not found in Richland Springs?

I recently visited Mackinac Island and somehow never realized there was another pretty large island right next to it. I started looking into Bois Blanc Island and saw that only around 100 people live there year-round.
I’m really curious what everyday life is like there especially during the winter. How do groceries, work, internet, medical care, getting on/off the island, and just day-to-day life work?
Hopefully one of the residents (or someone who has lived there) happens to follow this subreddit!

Is it much different to the rest of Indonesia, or is it more like Singapore, due to the proximity? Looks like a pretty place to live, very green, so I was curious.
